I did shots one at a time wit the older 2. I am doing 2 at a time with Wyatt. It is just too hard right now to keep up with everyone and constantly go to the Doctor and just like O said I don't want him in a germy Doc's office. We see a family Practice and ther sn't a sick/well room.

Elena - Glad to hear Tommy survived his shots. Do you ever give infant Tylenol proactively or do you just wait to see how it goes? I'm considering giving it to Toby after we get home just to be safe, but I have no idea if that's a smart decision or not. I'm also so glad you were able to donate that many clothes! Must be very therapeutic. Hmmm...I haven't craved dark beer, but I haven't really thought about it. Now that you mention it. Maybe. Or maybe I'm just thirsty in general. Hmmm...
Ophelia - Thanks for the compliment on the booties. My friend actually made those for Toby! With a matching hat. I love them. And, I'm so happy to hear that your DH is sticking to your agreement. That is fantastic news, and this is a great step for both of you towards his healing.
Country - I can't believe you're about to have snow! Makes sense of course, but hard to wrap my head around since I'm so used to hearing about your walks in the sunshine. Ah, I love Desperate Housewives! I DVR it and it generally takes me a full day to get through a single episode (always pausing it, rewinding, etc to watch in 5-min increments while nursing). Oh, and yes, I finally today tried those saline drops and I got a HUGE smile afterwards. So, perhaps a coincidence, but it sold me in, that's for sure!
Jillian - Glad you had a good conversation with the doctor. Let us know how it works out and if it's gas/reflux.
Mull - I'm getting Toby's vaccinations next week, so I'll let you know how that goes as well. Sorry about the sleep. It is amazing how one night makes a difference, huh?
Okay, I have to run now because i'm meeting two coworkers for dinner. DH is meeting me at the restaurant so they can meet Toby but then he can whisk him home for a bath/feed and hopefully bed (ha! Right. After the 7 cumulative hours he slept today!).
Speaking of which, he's asleep. AGAIN. He really is doing better today and like Elena said he's clearly sleeping off the virus. But this is amazing! I think he's been awake for 2 total hours since 10am today. I'm praying, fingers crossed, this won't impact his night sleep. I have absolutely no idea what to expect.
In other news, I went to a FREE (almost - they ask for a $5 donation) new moms group today. It's held at a nursing clothing store, so I guess they figure they get customers from the deal. It is great, and so much more sustainable than my $30/session group that I first enrolled in. I ran into a girl from college who had a baby boy one day after Toby was born, so that was fantastic!Me - PCOS, DH - Perfect

It's no horrible but noticable. We took both boys to the dentist since they were due anyway. It didn't go down to the nerve luckily. Talon has tiny teeth, not sure if it is due to the cleft palate, probably. The good nes was no cavities for Talon and only 1 for Kelan.

Both older kids went down with a stomach virus today. Whoopee! Someone has been sick in this house since February, I'm officially losing my mind now. We went from colds, to another cold to sinus infections, a double ear infection with vomiting and now more vomiting all in the past 8 weeks. Stick a fork in me ladies because I'm done.

I'll catch up later with personals, but I wanted to report some potentially troubling news. Zoe had her 2-month appointment today, and I happened to mention that we've noticed that she turns her head in only one direction, and it flops to that side, too, and that there is actually a flat spot on the side of the head that she leans on. The doctor thinks she has a mild to moderate case of something called torticollis, and she recommended physical therapy. Apparently, babies respond well to the exercises, but of course I worry that this will be chronic, she'll be in pain, and that she will look asymmetrical in the face. Also, it will be a lot of energy doing the exercises with her when she clearly won't like them but we have to keep doing them.

Grape - One of the babies in my Mom's group is going to physical therapy for that same thing. She is at least one month or more older that Ada (who was also born on Feb 7). I'll ask her mom on Monday how it is going and let you know what she says.

Tricki - oh I am so sorry! Sounds like every week is an adventure and who knows what tomorrow will bring you. Surely you're banking some good karma though!
Grape - I'm sorry to hear that. Glad you got thd diagnosis now though because it sounds like this is better addressed sooner rather than later.Me - PCOS, DH - Perfect

grape...torticollis is very very common...... often it starts in the womb when they have their head on one side all the time.or are engaged early in the pelvis. you get a stiffening of the muscles on one side of the neck. We can get something similar...called wry neck from sleeping funny.
It responds really well to stretching... its not permanent in the mild to moderate form.... the exercises are important as if it goes untreated the muscles can permanently shorten and require surgery at a later date.
oh and dont worry about the flat spot..its from her lying on the same spot of her head all the time... if you can make her sleep the other side it will spontaneoulsy resolve.country girl 44yrs

She's been up all day today and in bed late for her... hope she's not getting sick. It's been an odd day.
Just a quick note of encouragement to Grape for the torticollis- I got it about a year ago. Mine was a sudden case, thought to be caused by a fan (new) that we had going in our room. Apparently, if the nerves on the surface get stimulated in such a way, it can cause the underlying muscle to contract. It's difference cause than newborns. However, the treatment is similar, exercises, heat (not sure if you can do that with a newborn, but even your hand on it before exercises may help. Mine was bad enough that I woke up and couldn't lift my ear off of my shoulder. Absolutely unable. It resolved, with the exercises, in about 3 weeks. I've had no lasting effects.
Side note: when we went to buy our Fisher Price Rock N Play from Amazon, the reviews mention several children using it being diagnosed with torticollis. Apparently, their physical therapists said it was caused by the Rock N Play, or can be from bad position in swings or car seats (if left in there for long times). Knowing this, we kind of rotate how we put her in, making sure we lean her this way or that. I worry about her getting it... but it was worth the risk, knowing that it could be a coincidence, because like Country says, it's a common condition.
Hmm...not sure if this was helpful at all... I'm feeling very fried mentally, and probably should have my license to type taken at this point.TTC since 2003. 1 chemical pregnancy- 09/15/03
