ophelia...hope those darn results come soon....... how frustrating....I would be screaming by now.... you would think that they would just give you a script for the strips...afterall they are going to have you monitor your sugars anyway... grrrr.
cant wait to see a photo of your dropped belly....gosh it is really getting real now.. have you got the hospital bag packed????
Gosh your last day of work.... now you get to sort, rest and relax...well I hopeso anyway.. Im sure you will feel a lot less tired being off work...
mullinska..... yay for the rennovations... a new door is a big start...
So good that you were able to start on the nursery with out DD getting in the way...what fun you will have over the next few weeks.... dont worry my house is a disaster zone...its sooooo dirty and in need of cleaning and putting away...lol...
Grape.......yay on the ultrasound being so good and bub growing well.... great that you have another one to check.....very reassuring... Im glad you were able to get DH understanding the importance of the next one...
elena....... I hope that BRM continues to cooperate and you dont find it too hard with sammy at home.... 34 weeks.... you can do it !!!!
mullinska.....fabulous news on the stroller..... sounds like a really great one.... I wish we had them so cheap.... my baby jogger elite cost me $750 where is retails in USA for $400 and that is about the price of most strollers...although the bugaboo retails for about $1500 holy cow........ grrrrrr...you are very lucky to have both the choice and cheaper prices....
Jen.....glad that you have washed everything... you are certainly on the final stretch....
Bummer about the quilt...I remember how thrilled you were when you got it..... at least she will give you a refund... but I guess it means you have to find another quilt....
well Im in the last leg of my long emergency shift... 3hrs to go... it was pretty busy... I did not get away for lunch until 330pm...poor babette...then I went and fed her hot chilli chinese noodles..lol..
I saw a young girl today (20yrs) that I diagnosed as 24weeks pregnant and she did not know !!!! her complaint was feeling a bit of nausea and tummy aches for a week...she attributed the babies movements to farting pains... it was not until we had a look with the uss that she really believed that there was a baby in there.... Im not sure how she could not know she was pregnant because her uterus was certainly large and obvious...lol..lol..
she was pretty stunned to begin with but was getting a little excited by the time she left.... her boyfriend was stunned...and very scared..not putting any money on him hanging around. But it was nice to be able to help her.
So Im having a power rest at the moment...feet up... got to go back in about 20mins...
my baby shower date is finally set for Jan 6th..it was hard coordinating with a lot of nurses and shift schedules...but that was the best we came up with...so thats great...they are all so excited its so refreshing.....
hmmmmm I must take a photo of my 30 week bump tomorrow...
Got my work christmas party after I finish at 8pm... Ill have missed half of it oh well... everyone really gets into it and we all get pressies and sit on santas knee.... well I might not this year..santa might need a knee replacement afterwards...lol..lol....
time for a cuppa....
oh and on the home gardening front.... its not something I have ever really worried about as I have a modest little bush.... never really needed to trim much... my leg hairs dont grow much at all and my thigh hairs have never been touched as they are so fine and fair...

Brag, Brag, gloat, gloat. Rub it in, lady. Sheesh. ;-P
Oh, and I took a pic tonight, but can't remember where my last belly pics are. Hmm... I know quite a few were on my stolen phone. :-( I should have something more recent. My belly button went from pointing out to pointing down. lol.
Oh, and I should have clarified that I didn't end my work on my choice, but that of my client's they were getting nervous about me *maybe* heading for bedrest (thanks for the vote of confidence, folks!), so they have switched to a standard day care. I would have prefered to stop in January, but I'm sure I'll be very happy come then!Last edited by Ophelia Payne; 12-17-2010 at 11:05 PM.

Ophelia, if you ever get some before/after pics, I'd love to see!
Jen, sorry about the blanket but that's great that the seller will issue a refund. You're reminding me to go check out Etsy! I'm waiting for our apartment closing and then I can feel I can start to look for fun things for the new place.
Country, how was the office party? Was Santa okay with you avoiding his knee?
Grape, glad everything looks good and DH understands the need for another scan now!
Mull - congrats on the renovations starting! I can't WAIT until we're in the same boat, but now it's looking like that might take until March. Yikes.
AFM, we had our scan yesterday at the hospital to check my placenta previa. They need the placenta to get to 2.5cm away from cervix and mine was 2.7cm! Woohoo! I felt like such a champ even though I hadn't exactly contributed to this process myself
It was such fun seeing the little guy. I'm 30.5 weeks, and he was already 4lbs. Ahhh!! I still have theoretically 10 weeks of growth go to!! He's going to be a TALL baby - I'm 5'11 and DH is 6'1 so it's not surprising, but the little babe's thigh bones were already measuring at 33 weeks.
DH now likes to call him Baby LeBron!!Me - PCOS, DH - Perfect
3 cycles clomid then 4 cycles follistim IUI = all BFN. IVF finally worked!
Tobin arrived @ 39 weeks on 2/14/11.

Mum - So glad to hear things are going well and the great news on your placenta!!!
Ladies - I've gone back and forth on whether or not I should get a bikini wax. I thought maybe I would do it and then reward myself with a pedicure. Is there any health reasons why we shouldn't get a bikini wax?
Ophelia - I'm sorry that your business had to end earlier than you'd hope. But, I'm glad you'll have some time to get things done around the house and hopefully enjoy yourself.
Country girl - Hope you had a great time at your Christmas party!!!!!!
AFM - DH is still working on the nursery. House is still filled with woodwork and tools (and now dust). However, we have some wainscoating on the wall and it looks great. Still have a lot to go, but I am pleased at least that DH is making some progress. He promises me the room will be completed by Dec. 28th (when the furniture is set to come). I'm praying he can make this deadline or we will have to reschedule for the 3rd time and I won't be happy. Especially since I am off the remainder of the year and was planning to clean and organize all of the great goodies we have received.TTC: 11/07, DH & I - 34.
DH - Testicular tumor. Removed 12/09.
Me - FSH = 9.3, AFC = 13, AMH = 1.2.
4/09 - #1 IUI - 17, 20 BFN
8/09 - #2 IUI - 26 BFN
9/09 - #3 IUI - 22, 24, 17 BFN
9/09 - #4 IUI - 20 BFN.
2/09 - #5 IUI - BFN.
5/10 - IVF #1. Tranferred 2 5-day blasts. BFP!

elana........ I hope that BRM is behaving and no more bad contractions....
well I did my last 12hr shift yesterday..It was long and tiring. I finished at 8pm then went straight to the christmas party. Everyone was having a pretty good time and well on the way to being drunk by the time I arrived.. It was a great atmosphere but I was so shattered that I was concentrating on not falling asleep. I managed to get away at 11pm after they partied on. Santas knees survived by the way...lol..
So today after working for a few hours this morning Ive had a potter, job rest sort of day..pretty busy and would have like a nap..but never got there..lol...
only 3 days of work left before my mini break over christmas...12 glorious days with no work....yay!!!!. still no christmas plans... it will probably be me myself and I..
I have posted my latest baby bump and babettes 30 week 4D pics on my albums in the profile.
I hope you have a great sunday everyone.
going to have dinner.

Hello ladies, I hope you all don't mind me venting a little. I'm having a bad day, feeling very tired because I'm anemic, constipated from the iron supplements and having an extra-hard time with the GD because DH is not being supportive in the least. I feel very alone in this. I spend all day fixing meals for my family and I can't eat any of it. DH has not changed his eating habits in the least to show any support to me and he probably needs it as much as I do. He's not diabetic, but he IS about 70 lbs overweight and always talks about how he wants to lose weight, etc but never actually does anything about his diet. This morning for breakfast he fixed himself four waffles with butter and syrup, a huge bowl of fruity pebbles (which I bought for the kids as a treat) and a gigantic glass of OJ (all stuff i can't even THINK about eating). I made a remark about what he was going to eat (I probably shouldn't have said anything but I'm pregnant and starving and it just slipped out) and we ended up having a huge fight. Aside from the fact that he made himself a horribly fattening breakfast (actually THREE breakfasts) he didn't see how gorging himself in front of me is insensitive. That's the part that I'm most angry about. He has no clue how hard this is and doesn't even TRY to help me out by cutting back a little. All he saw was that I was making life hard for HIM by telling him that he shouldn't be eating a breakfast like that (I mean, nobody should eat like that!). I know I'm probably more sensitive to things like this because of the strict diet I'm following while dealing with pregnancy cravings but am I completely off base thinking that DH should try to cut back around the house and be a little more sensitive to what I'm going through? I'm not asking him to be as strict as I have to be but I think he should at least make an effort not to do stuff like that

Tricki, I think a lot of men, not all, are missing an empathy chip. I know mine is, lol. Do you do the food shopping? JUst stop buying stuff. It's funny my sugars have been really low, like not good low and I read that hypoglycemia if not diabetes related is the body having the opposite reaction to sugars so I really should be back on a GD type diet. It doesn't affect the baby but it does affect me. So I started back up just so I can stay healthy. I told Scot I am not buying Juice anymore even though I was getting the Tropicana low sugar 50/50 stuff. I have no willpower, so if I don't buy it I won't eat it. That doesn't mean I won't have something occasionaly but I am trying to be good.
I could have knocked Scot out yesterday. I got up ran to the PO to mail back the baby blanket, ran to CVS to get Talon's Teachers a box of Candy and something for the Preschool Christmas Party. Came home, made the boys lunch, dressed them and got them in their car seats so Scot could take them on a train ride with SAnta and while I was outside Scot ate my english muffin. I had not eaten all morning. Boy, did he get an earfull, lol. I feel your pain about the insensitivity, Hugs!It is better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness. Confucius

Hi everyone! Its been way too long since I updated. Sorry. I actually went back to work in October, and my life became very hectic running Dillon around to Daycare and all. I had a scare last week. I started getting really strong contractions at 31 W 4Days. I spent the night in the hospital, and with medication and IV's they were able to stop them. So, once again I am home. If I'm on my feet for more than 10-15 minutes I start contracting again. My C-Section is tentatively scheduled for January 18th (37 weeks) because this will be my 3rd classical c-section. I'm just praying my little guy will stay in that long. I will have an amnio on the 17th to make sure the baby's lungs are developed - not looking forward to that, lol.
I have to read through to catch up on all of you. Talk to you soon...Beth
