E, We have to buy everything except for the crib and the stroller. I got rid of everything else because we were done. This the bassinet but I will be getting a different pattern, Product Details. It adjust so it can lowered and used up to 2olbs as a bassinet. I had the earlier version which only went up to 15lbs and I really like it because I could wheel it around the house.

I've actually bought quite a bit so far. I got a ton of clothes at Baby Gap when they had that 40 or 45% day. I got the Pottery Barn Chase Crib Bedding, it's really cute!

Ophelia - Good luck. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and your sweet baby. Btw, how do you know they are hiccups? Do the kicks feel like spasms? I just haven't heard this before.

Jen - I'm a big planner, so we've already started accumulating stuff. My shower is this coming weekend. Since I'm due at the first part of February, my sisters were afraid that the only other alternative was to have a shower during the holidays. So, here we go. DH right now is busy painting the baby's room since our furniture is in and will be delivered at the end of this month....as long as DH has the wainscoating up and painted. Good news is that the painting is almost done and the color is awesome. With all this said, if we weren't due early february (and weren't concerned about the holidays) we wouldn't be starting all this stuff so soon.

Elena - Glad you are starting to feel better. I'm still puking and feeling sorry for myself - however, after I read what you are going through, I feel bad for whining so much about my situation!!!!

Jen - It is called Newport Blue by Behr. I was afraid it might be too dark, but it really looks great.

That's pretty, I just googled it. I am so in 2 blues right now. It took me months to paint my great room. I painted it Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue, it has more green that blue in it but it's grayish, it's hard to describe. I plan on painting most of the house blue. I have paint samples everywhere, lol.

Thanks Jen. I just googled your color as well and it is really pretty. I love blue as well. I think I might do my den in blue as well. Maybe a bolder shade. Just have to convince DH to do it!!!!

ophelia........ you have every right to be a little concerned... mothers instincts are so important for a healthy pregnancy. You are allowed to be worried as much as you like. Having hiccups all the time must be very disconcerting. I am sure it will all be ok tomorrow...
Im having my own little panic about my low weight gain... only 1lb in 5 weeks, a total of only 10lbs the entire pregnancy..... I worry about babette not growing as much as she should...sigh...I know its silly even with all my medical knowledge but I too have my moments of panic,
So you are not alone with all the freaky pregnant ladies.....lol.. fingers crossed it will be fine.

    littlesteps..
.. so sorry to hear that you are still having puking issues..grrrr do you think it is reflux related?? maybe try regular antiacids and see if it helps.
Yay for getting your nursery organised and painting. Sounds like you will have a lovely baby shower... and those holidays sure get in the way...hard here as it is everyones major summer holiday and everyone takes time off as all the kids are on summer holidays.

erobin..... you are so funny,...sorry to hear you have been defeated by pomigranate man...bummer... juice for you only... the big C is such a huge problem ...bummer that it stirred up the fibroid...lets hope that it all settles quickly.... I must say that I have dodged that problem with taking the iron.. for some reason it makes things flow well for me...lol..
lets hope that you have some good friends to help you out for all the big baby stuff.... at least it is cheaper for you in the states..... my baby jogger pram is $900us, and you can buy it for $350us... its like that for just about everything...sigh...

jen....yay for ordering everything. Numerous shop keepers have told me to get everything early as a lot of products go out of stock during the holiday period as they are all popular gifts and then stock often arrives late in jan. So I have got the big things... portacot, pram, carseat, monitor. and Im still having to wait until december for some of them to arrive.
I have keep all my recipts so if something goes wrong I can just return. I am too paranoid to even take it all out of the boxes..lol.. Ill do it in december....

well Im on a break from my long emergency shift...a busy one this morning. the nurses really look after me and make me eat and take breaks. They are all organising a surprise baby shower for me..and want me to make a list of everything I need,....its so lovely...working in our little country hospital of only 30 beds is like a big family and everyone is so excited for me... its like babette is their baby to love as well... so we now just have to set a date in between everyones work days.... sounds like it may be a big affair if all the nurses come and office staff....lol...its just so lovely and made my day.
I also fired up the ultrasound at work and looked at babette today...quite bizzare doing an uss on yourself... of course the nurse on was so excited to see babette..shes one of babettes favorate surrogate aunts...we looked at her for ages as she relaxed and waved at us. Shes still got a fair bit of room in there so its probably why I only feel her stomach moving kicks which are real doozies....lol..it was too awkward to measure her growth.

well Ive got 90mins left to work,...yay.... the cold is hanging on, today I have been coughing up various bits of my lungs...lol...not a great look for seeing patients.... only got to get through weds and then I have 2 days off..sigh....
