    Here's a big U/S update!

So - finally at 19-1/2 weeks we got to have our ultrasound.....haven't had one since 7 weeks. And - to our surprise we have TWINS!

At 7 weeks we saw only one heartbeat and the doc said only one. Today - we saw two babies of equal size, both healthy. We are so completely stunned, yet elated. This certainly changes things a lot for us - - my appointments, OB care, potential delivery, nursery plans, child care, etc. Lots of stuff to think about all of a sudden.

I'm actually somewhat relieved we found out now and not in the beginning. While my care might have been a little different, I was so paranoid about something going wrong, the risks and complications with multiples....I think I would have been stressing even more so if I had known there were two.

But - both seem to be growing at the same rate, right on schedule at 19-1/2 weeks and healthy.

Oh - the other good news? One of each, one boy, one girl!

You can't imagine how stunned our families are going to be when they find out. I think it will be a while before we get used to it.

Just wanted to share the news....I guess it can happen that people find out about multiples late!

OMG!!!!!!!!! Congratulations. I can't believe they didn't find out until you were almost 20 weeks. I guess now is better than on deliver day though! Good luck to you now that you have more planning to do!
