**My 1st OB udate and other things...**

    Hello my friends !!!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post my 1st OB update from last week... things have been crazy for me/us and I still haven't felt the greatest at sitting at this computer...ugh.

My OB just did an exam... ya know, fingers in and on top of my belly to measure the uterus... as soon as he had both hands positioned... he said..."Boy girl, you are carrying a load in there !!" I asked him... "what am I a semi-truck ???" LOLOL !!! He did a breast exam and we chatted about what I should expect over the next several months. We went over any testing we could do too. We have decided on just doing the Triple Test.

He said everything looked and felt fine... we did not do an u/s. I have another appt with him on August 10th and at that time we will HEAR the with the u/s and I will be checked again. He said NO WORRIES... everything is good.

He did tell me he was 90-95% sure I would NOT be going to Orlando with Mark October 19-24... I will be 24 wks and he said he did not want me to chance anything, especially with carrying twins. I will do what I have to do...

We leave on Wednesday for our vacation to NYC and won't be back until Sunday... I hope to truly catch up on this board a bit before we go and/or when we get home.

Glad to hear things went well....you kept us waiting a while but I understand how busy things get and feeling kinda yucky. We didn't have an u/s or hear a heartbeat at our first OB appt either but doc did the same "feel" around and said all was well. Too bad about FL - - but good not to chance it and you may not feel up to travelling all that much anyway. Have a wonderful time in NYC !!!

Hi Amyleigh! Great report! My OB said something similar when I had my pelvic exam done, "Wow, you are definitely pregnant!" I wonder how many weeks (in singleton terms) our uterus' measure at this point. Have you started showing yet? I can definitely notice. I don't think I've "popped" yet. But I can definitely tell my uterus is getting higher. How about you? But I just look a little heavier to other people.

Sorry about your Orlando trip. I had a trip planned to NC (to visit my family) the week before Thanksgiving - plane tickets have already been purchased! My OB said "Absolutely not!" I asked her if I could move it up to the 1st weekend in Oct. (my birthday). I will be 22 weeks then. She said it's just too early to tell. Right now this pg'cy is perfectly normal (except that I'm having twins) - but there's no way to tell if at that time I'll be doing just as well. I may go ahead & change the flight to then & then just play it by ear & see what happens.

Hope you start feeling better soon!
    :-) Jen

Great update--I am so glad that things went so well.
I feel like I am carrying a load, and it's only a single; I can't imagine how you feel.
    Cheers,
