Where is everyone?

What is going on with all you ladies? I hope the season finds you and your families well and the LO's are thriving!!

Alexandra just started crawling 2 weeks ago and she can really move. It's kind of funny that DS will tell her where she can and can't be at. If she's too close to the vertical blinds, he'll yell "NO, BABY!" She is pretty much eating all table food now, which is nice since baby food is pricey. I got her ears pierced last Friday, finally had the nerve to do it and she barely whimpered.

I would love to hear from everyone!

Hi Tiffany,

I'm so glad that everyone is doing well. You're right, we have all been missing for a while. Vanessa is 10.5 months old and seems to be content in her bouncer and on the floor. She isn't crawling yet and prefers to stay upright. Her sister at least gets to play with her on the floor.

Wow, that's great that Alexandra eats table food. Vanessa has no teeth and she doesn't like anything with chunks in it. I tried some 8-month baby food and she turned her head in disgust and started crying so it's still mushy stuff for us. She does love Baby Mum mum's...I noticed that some ladies mentioned "puffs", are those the Gerber or Heinz ones?? The ones I saw at the store say they should be given to children 12 mths and older. I live in Canada so not sure if we have the same products as the U.S.

Is everyone ready for the holidays? I'm very excited for Vanessa's first Christmas...I don't think she'll understand much of it but her sister is very excited. It defnitely puts you in the mood when you see how excited they are and their belief in Santa.

Hope to hear from the rest of you soon! Happy holidays to all of you and your families and a very Happy New Year.

Pina

Hi there,
Hard to believe that in six weeks Zoe will be one! She's 10 months 3 weeks, 19 and a half pounds. She's been crawling for over two months now. She loves to pull up on the furniture and has started to do some surfing. We've seen her stand by herself for 5-10 second bursts. I think walking is right around the corner. She's a very happy baby...lately she's been irritable due to working on some more teeth (she has two on the bottom), and an ear infection. She's on antibiotics to help clear up the infection. Zoe and I get to hang out for two weeks as I am on winter break. It'll be nice to return to the days of spending time just playing, napping, and relaxing in our pjs. Zoe is doing very well at daycare. She's a real easy-going baby. Right now she's still getting about 4 6 ounce bottles a day along with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She's tried lots of people food (turkey chicken, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, refried beans, hummus, cranberries, tomato soup, bread, mozarella cheese). She loves puffs. I try to give her little bites to try new flavors and textures. So far, she's not too picky. Her sleep has been disrupted lately, but for the most part she sleeps from 8 pm-6/7 am. We usually have to go in at night to give her the pacifier. Sometimes it's a challenge to get her to go back to sleep. We've tried the cry it out method a few times. We are hoping that we can condition her to go back to sleep on her own when it is during the wee hours of the morning.

We are looking forward to celebrating the holidays with Zoe. And then her birthday is right around the corner. We are planning a small family celebration. Good to hear from everyone!

Hello Everyone!!!

It sounds like you all are doing well! Crazy that we have almost toddlers!!

Well, Ethan started walking about 2 weeks ago, and man have things changed at our house. He is into everything. We live in Florida and have alot of tile floors, which I am constantly chasing him off of in fear that he will fall. He has had 2 major head injuries since the walking began, one being a black eye and the other a cut chin and bloody lip. Fun!

He pretty much eats table food now, his favorite being the Christmas ham. Might be that it is sugar glazed
(the puffs we used were the gerber ones, but we went to cherrios once he had 4 teeth as they are so much cheaper)

Happy Holidays to everyone!!
Em
