"Cole James is here!

Well, my little bundle of joy arrived even earlier than expected! I went for my testing on Monday and Cole wasn't looking as good as normal. The peri was thinking the placenta was starting to crap out so he decided to admit me for the induction right then. I got the cervidal placed on Monday evening and that alone sent me into contractions so I didn't even need the pitocin. Once I finally got my epidural and they broke my water on Tues morning I went from 2-3 cm to 9cm in a matter of an hour and was fully dilated and pushing soon after that. Cole was born on Tuesday 9/16 at 9:02am. He is 20 inches (but with a nice cone head from the vacuum so is probably really more like 19in) and 5lb 7oz. Most importantly, he is healthy! We are so relieved after all the complications that we have gone through this pg!

We just go home today and my DD is loving being a big sis so far (although I am sure that the jealousy will kick in soon enough). I am exhausted and a little sore from where my stitches are, but DH is home for the rest of the week so that is a big help to me.

Hi, all!

I was coming on to finally announce baby Cole's arrival to you all, but thanks to pharmgirl for updating you all. Things have been hectic at home so I haven't had much time for posting--but I do try to check in as often as I can. I will say that Cole is a very good baby and the 2nd time around the baby seems to be the easy part. Kendra is dealing with the changes ok but she remains to be the more challenging sibling right now! Thankfully, she has not taken anything out on Cole yet--just on DH and me. Mainly, she is just throwing a lot more tantrums than normal and just started hitting me when she doesn't get her way.

I hope everyone on the feb board is doing well. It has been slow here and I hope that we can find all our buddies here and maybe get things to pick up.
