I did a web search. This looks super quick and is probably quite easy, but I must admit I've never made baked ziti (I sure have eaten plenty of it, though, since I moved to the NE!).

Annoying brand names removed. (I got this from a company web site.)

Baked Ziti

Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 50 min
Makes: 8 servings, 1-1/4 cups each

1 pkg. (16 oz.) ziti pasta

1 jar (26 oz.) spaghetti sauce

1 container (15 oz.) ricotta cheese

1 pkg. (8 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water.

MIX spaghetti sauce, ricotta cheese and reserved 1/2 cup pasta cooking water in large bowl. Add pasta and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese; mix lightly. Spoon into 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and the Parmesan cheese. Cover.

BAKE 30 min.; uncover. Bake an additional 10 min. or until heated through.

I usually do something similar. I boil the pasta, add the sauce and mozzarella and then sort of dot the ricotta around and sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella. Sometimes I put all 2 cups of mozzarella on top, but then my DH takes all of his ziti off the top and hogs the cheese

Looks pretty much like my version. (Except I make my own sauce.) I just mix it all up & bake. It's great for when we have company (not fancy company) and I want to have it prepared in advance.

If this is the definitive version I will have to try it--I am desperate for some quick fix-ahead dinners. I may add some leftover chicken to it, or maybe little meatballs; if it doesn't have meat DH will NOT call it dinner.

Oh yeah Cathy, if I make it, I use a meat sauce instead of a marinara. If I don't have meat sauce on hand, I brown ground beef & onions and stir that into the mix too.

Dr. J had posted one a while back which is absolutely delicious. It's one of my dh's favorites. I'll go see if I can find it .
