Has anyone else been timed wrong?

I am on my first cycle of Follistim. Went the Dr on Monday and the nurse tell me that I have a lead follicle that is 12mm and to come back on Thursday that I may be ready for HCG on Thursday. I go to the Dr today and the nurse tells that I am ready she brings the shot in... I PAY FOR IT then I get a phone call a few hrs later that my progesterone is very high and that means that I ovulated either Tuesday or Wednesday! Previous to this I did 3 cycles of Clomid that were failed attempts... 1 of which they miss times my ovulation also. I am so frustrated. Part of me wants to change offices but I really do like the Dr, the nurse are just morons. My insurance doesn't cover injectibles and I really don't know that I wanna go another cycle spending all this money only to find out afterward... Oops sorry we miss time you.

I dont even know. Is that something that they should have told me? I am so bad at all this I never ask the right questions I always have to call the office after they tell me something because I think of things later.

I am just wondering what "very high" is? My RE was much more relaxed about some lab results then other RE's. Did you do the clomid cycles with this RE as well? It seems like 12mm on monday wouldnt mean ov on tues or wed. I am in NO WAY an expert or anything. i was just wondering. So what is your next step?

I thought the same thing. Yes I did the clomid cycles w/ my RE. I told my husband that I don't care what they say we are gonna go at it for the next couple days just incase they were wrong. lol. Then I guess we just keep practicing until next month. I am just scared that I am gonna put out all this money again next month and have the same thing happen.

For all of my IUIs and IVFs my doctor has used Follistim + Antagon (well actually Puregon and Orgalutran which is what they're called in Canada). The Antagon is supposed to reduce the chance of ovulating before the trigger shot. Maybe you can talk to your doctor about taking that.

Good luck.
