Waited too Long Level 2
My first cycle failed..how do I get out of this hole?

I just got the bad news 13dpo Beta 1.7.
Wow, I really had high hopes and so did my RE...what the hell happened?
I was VERY stressed during my 3 day bedrest..too many people called me with their problems. I also had some very bad news about my sis and my hubby was out of town from 1-4dpt. I just feel so lost. All these hormones makes it worse...I feel pregnant

Sometimes it's not that anything went wrong at all, it can be a perfect cycle and sadly still end in a negative. Best of luck with your next cycle.

Comfort

Hi ~

I just went through my 1st failed IVF cycle. It was rather surprising for me because my DB and I conceived on our own twice, but they were ectopic, so we moved straight to IVF and I had 5 good quality embryos transferred, but none of them implanted, so I got a BFN. We're devastated and are afraid that we won't be approved for a 2nd cylce because I'm due for my CCT next month and my numbers may be too high (I'm 41). We thought that our problem was just my tubes not working because our embryos were implanting in the wrong place, so you would think that once they were in the right place it would just work perfectly.

So, we're really depressed, but what has helped me is positive thinking, staying busy, and creative visualization. I visualize my boyfriend, and I will healthy babies of our own. I try to practice The Secret. The book by Rhonda Byrnes. The FT website is a great place for support and insight. I visit every day.

Good luck and Baby Dust!!

Failed IVF

I just finished my fisrt IVF cycle with a BFN. It has been devastating b/c unlike the IUI (I did 7 cycles) this time I actually saw and became attached to my embryos, I feel like I have had a miscarriage in that I lost those little babies to be. I did find this article which has given me some comfort: http://www.drmalpani.com/negative-beta-hcg-ivf.htm. Will anyone be moving on to FET?

Blessings - BTW I am 40 - the age aspect - that we have a limited amount of time to make this work really adds to the pressure of each cycle to be successful, at least it has for me.

Rollercoaster

I just had my first ivf and had an hcg of 5.7 at 12DP3DT. Pretty much told it's a chemical and it rarely turns around when it's this low. Had to do another test today and hcg was 6.33. I hate to say it but I was already ready for it to go down and then this is thrown at me (of course there were and is a lot of tears). Obviously not a viable pregnancy as the RE has me stopping the progesterone.

I'm so sorry. A lot of people think the success rate is great with IVF, but it's still a toss of the coin. I had a failed IVF in October and thought it would work (I had 15 eggs, 10 fertilized, they implanted 2 and froze 2), & was devastated when it didn't. I'm 32 and have "unexplained infertility", so I'm hoping this cycle will work.

Child ment.

My recent 2nd IVF failed. Although my first one was a success, I still feel a great loss. Maybe it is due to the fact that this was our last cycle because of financial reasons.

I was sad for several days and now I am still upset. Thinking of those little embies makes me heartbroken. I am constantly analyzing possible reasons for them not implantation and blaming myself for not relaxing enough during the 2ww. I am convinced that I must have done something wrong that hurted those embies' chances. The feeling of guilty and regret kills me. Anyway, I will go to see my RE again this Wednesday to hear what she says about this cycle.
