Good morning everyone,
I just went through my 1st IVF cycle with what everyone thought was great success. I had 26 eggs, 21 fertilized, transfered 2 day 5 beautiful blasts and froze 9 that were equally as nice. Transfer went smooth and 2ww was fine. All meds taken right, 3 days of post xfr bed rest, etc., etc., etc. Anyhow, I had my pg test on Saturday the 19th and it was negative. The doc told DH that he was going to focus on my endometrium and the shaping of my uterus for our FET cycle. Since I was stimming rather slow and they increased my meds, he didn't manipulate my uterus for fear of damaging the follies that were growing. He believes our success with our FET will be great because he knows the area to concentrate on in this next cycle. which would be at the end of May.
Has anyone ever heard of this? I totally trust this doctor and know that pg on 1st IVF is difficult. I also wonder if anyone has any advice on how to better prepare your endometrium lining. I am 34, healthy, exercise a lot, eat lots of fruit, veggies and protein, I don't smoke and don't drink excessively (well, Saturday night maybe!), so any input would be appreciated. I also take folic acid. During my cycle I was on a typical med rotation and when the xfr took place, I was on PIO shots, estrace, vivelle dot patches and prometrium.
Thank you so much!
Brandi
