Hi everyone! I have not "officially" been diagnosed with endometriosis because he said you need to get the surgery done to know for sure... so I wanted to see if any of you ladies could shed some light on the awful pain I am feeling.. who knows, maybe it's not endometriosis... but from what I read, it sounds that way... I am going to apologize ahead of time if I give a little TMI about certain symptoms, but I need answers! I even called the doctor today to get some pain medicine (advil isn't cutting it) and the nurse called the pain I was having " cramps".. if this pain was cramps, I wouldn't be bothering you lady! Anyways, here are my symptoms...
--pretty bad cramps (which I could live with if it was the only symptom)
--pain that feels (sorry TMI) almost like someone stuck a stick up my butt, I have trouble going from sitting to standing and standing to sitting and it feels like it's connected from my butt into my lower pelvice area... this pain makes it difficult to poop and everything
--weird period where I spot once one day, then nothing for a day or two, then have HEAVY period for a day or two and then it goes away gradually... not the same every month, but usually like this
Now I know that I don't have EVERY symptom of endometriosis ... so it's possible it's not that.. but this pain I feel each month in my butt that feels like it's connected to my pelvic area is what kind of pointed me to that diagnosis... I don't know what else to think so if anyone has experienced this and knows what it is, I would LOVE to know...
I don't ever remember having symptoms like this before I had my daughter, so I don't know if it's something you can develop or what! Thanks!

Makama,
are you having these cramps during your periods or on any day of your cycle? i had cramps just like yours when i was diagnosed with endo, cramps were spread from my pelvic area to my rectum(sorry TMI).i had scar tissues in those area which caused the cramps.so if it is endo, you will get the cramps before during or just after your cycle as i *understood*.i could not stand up or lay down due to sevre pains and i was swetting all over as the cramps increses and i get fainted.with the lap i had relief and untill the surgery i had to use suppositaries as i did not respond to any other medicineMe: 28 (severe endometriosis)

Yes, the cramps are usually during the heaviest part of my period... I can actually tell when the flow will get heavy because the pain starts... right now we are strapped for cash so I don't even know if we could afford the surgery... we have 3 cycles left of clomid and if that doesn't work, surgery is my next option... but like you said, you had endo where you felt the cramps and i'm afraid if it is endo it's spreading... so I don't know if I should be looking into the surgery sooner rather then later... so confusing!

Makama,
the amount of the pain and the stage of endo is not related at all! so do not get panic.you can have very small amount of scar tissue and severe pains.women with severe endo will have no pain and go undiagnosed for several years...doctors are not willing to do surgeries unless u have severe pain or they suspect it cause IF.havent they taken blood reports ? normally they perfrom CA125 to identify endo and my endo was diagnosed through ultrasound scans whch showed large endometriamas on my overies.but you have to get it confirmed by surgery.Me: 28 (severe endometriosis)

The first two certainly sound like endo. (I've had 3 laparoscopies). The later issue sounds more like a chronic low grade infection of the lining of the uterus that prevents implantation. I would also guess you have brown spotting at the end of your period? This research is published here: by Dr. Atila Toth, both a pathologist and obgyn.
