We have been TTC for about 3 years. I was diagnosed with Stage IV endo 9/09 after a 4 hour lap to remove most of the disease. I also had cysts on both ovaries (which were removed) and a misshaped uterus (which was partially corrected).
I chose not to do the Lupron shots and instead wanted to try the natural route (for various reasons). I have been seeing an acupuncturist and a chiropractor and have been getting treatments and supplements. I have been following my acupuncturists course of treatment and have noticed a slight improvement in my symptoms but after a year I was ready to try an new approach. I did a saliva test through my chiropractor (she specializes in HRT and infertility) and she found the same thing that my acupuncturist and RE have told me…that I’m estrogen dominant which causes or indicates that I “may have endo”….which I know for certain that I do. And she said that my progesterone is very low and would prevent me from keeping a pregnancy. So…long story longer she gave me a list of supplements that I’m supposed to take 2-3 times a day…they are detailed below.
I’m just curious if anyone has taken any of these supplements…and if so have you noticed any change?
Everyday
-Chaste Tree (2/day)
-Ovex P (6/day)
-Hypothalmex (6/day)
Days 5-14 only
-Tribulus (3/day)
-Ovatrophw PMG (6/day)
I also take the following on my own…Prenatal Vitamin, BComplex
UPDATE** Stopped using PCream because my chiropractor freaked out that I was using it.

The only one that I'm familiar with is Chaste Tree also know as Vitex. I never had any luck with alternative treatments personally, they seemed to confuse my cycle. There are many people who have had luck though...so it really is worth a try. Glad to see you are working with a professional! Good luck!

Well...I'm afraid it they may be confusing my cycle this time (first month) because typically I have o'd by now (CD15) but I'm still getting negitive OPK's. Usually I see some kind of line on them but this month there is nothing. I wondering if its the pills. I'm going to stick with it for at least 6 months but fingers crossed it will not mess up my cycles.

Wishing: I too have severe endometriosis. I had excessive bleeding to the point some months I was losing a unit of blood. I now understand that I was estrogen dominant with a severe hormonal imbalance. One thing which has really helped my symptoms is acupuncture. The technique of the first lady I saw brought no results in 2 sessions. The second lady helped me somewhat but after about 9 sessions I felt she had done all she could. The current lady I see is definitely the most skilled. I felt a difference in my body after 1 session. The past 2 years I have also had a fibroid issue. With acupuncture treatments the fibroid is shrinking. YEAH! I do not know anything about the supplements. With all my issues I was nervous about trying some of them. All the best to you.

I have been doing acupuncture for over a year now...I used to go every week but now I go the week before ovulation and the week after. I did all the tinctures / supplements that the acupuncturist suggested and did not really noticed a difference but not enough (in my opinion). The chiropractor I'm seeing has done wonders for a friend of mine so I'm hoping for the same result. Honestly...I can already feel a change in my body. Its hard to explain but I feel more balanced...more stable. If these supplements do nothing but make me feel better I'll be happy.
I'm glad acupuncture works for you...I think it is key to find someone you trust and that you feel knows what they are doing. The first lady I was seeing was good but the one I have now is amazing...I actually feel SO good leaving the office that even though I have stopped the herbs I will not stop seeing her. And its not cheap...so that is saying a lot since we are saving every penny right now for IVF.

Hi Wishingforbaby. I am in the same boat as you...went to an acupuncturist for almost all of 2009 and saw very little change in my cycles. I just started going to a chiropractor (advice from a friend who has endo) and I feel very balanced as well. He has not made any supplement recommendations, though. How did you find your chiropractor (one that specializes in HRT and infertility??)
Me (30) Slightly elevated FSH, possible endo
DH (30) low morphology

I found her through a friend who had recently started to see her (also for infertility). Although she does not specialize in fertility she does do a lot of work with hormones in general and I have always felt that my hormones were out of wack from being on birth control for so many years. She did a saliva test (which I recommend) before she suggested these supplements. This is my first cycle of supplements and I have noticed some changes in my body…my friend is on the same supplements and is having similar feelings so I know it’s the pills and not my imagination. The true test will be my first period which is not expected until April 4th but I have been feeling some AF type cramps the last couple days which scares me a little. I’m trying not to worry just yet because my Chiropractor did say that I may have some irregular cycles for a couple of months until my hormones get a little more balanced.
In order to find one that specializes in fertility/HRT maybe post on the alternative boards and see who they use. Where do you live? I'm in Michigan...would be happy to give you my girls contact info.

I live in San Francisco bay area so that won't work
Maybe I will post on the alternative boards to see if I get any good recommendations. Thanks for your response!
