does endo return?

How long after endo removal via lap does endo normally return? When should a follow-up lap be conducted?

I had a lap on 4/29/09 and I've been feeling a bit of fullness and gassyness near my left ovary where an adhesive lesion was lasered. Is this still part of the healing process or should I be concerned.

Thanks.

Every woman is different, but endo can return in as little as 3-6 months following removal. I hope that it not your case....

Thanks for responding. The endo that was removed was a stage II and my doc seems to think he got it all. He says it was only a stage II based on its location, i had 1 small flat implant on each ovary and an adhesive band on the left ovary... all removed. He said ordinarily someone with that amount of endo would be in the mild or stage I category but becuz it was on the ovaries, it was cosidered higher in severity.
But I had a pap smear with the gyno that performed the lap yesterday and I explained and described the discomfort. He said it was unlikely that endo was returning. He said the sigmond colon travels down the left side of the pelvic cavity. He asked me when my last BM was and i realized it was a few days ago... needless to say he rx'd an OTC stool softener and I feel 100% better.
