What do your letter grades translate to?

Another post here got me wondering. US grades seem to be very different than Canadian grades.

Here the marks are as follows:

R = 0-49
D- = 50-52
D = 53-56
D+ = 57-59
C- = 60-62
C = 63-66
C+ = 67-69
B- = 70-72
B =73-76
B+ =77-79
A- = 80-84
A =85-89
A+ = 90-100

Your grades are a lot more kid friendly, Monch!

This is the translation at Dylan's school:

Academic Subjects:

A = 94-100

B = 84-86
B- = 80-83
C+ = 77-79
C = 74-76
C- = 70-73
D = 66-69
F = 65 and below

Social Skills and Work Habits:

1 = excellent
2 = good
3 = improvement needed
4 = unsatisfactory

Monch - I love that A+ is 90-100 - might give kids some more confidence to see that an attribute it to their own hard work

Interesting... we use levels when using rubrics and for our standardized testing and it's the complete opposite:

4 - exceeds the provincial standard (meets all of the expectations)
3 - meets the provincial standard (meets most of the expectations)
2 - approaches the provincial standard (meets some of the expectations)
1 - below the provincial standard (meets some of the expectations in a limited way)
