Remember my high shipping link? Ebays answer...

Typical. This is the email I received from Ebay.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to eBay. My name is Colleen and I appreciate the
opportunity to assist you with your question. I understand you feel the
shipping cost for an item is too high.

I have taken a look at the item #6751505470 and it does seem high.
However, the seller is responsible for determining the shipping and
handling charges on his or her auctions. eBay encourages sellers to
clearly describe the item and the shipping and delivery terms in the
listing to avoid possible confusion.

I was able to see that the item ended without a winning buyer and the
seller has decided to relist the item, but they chose not to lower the
shipping cost. This seller will probably have a tough time selling the
item with a high shipping cost, but that is the risk they are willing to
take.

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.

Regards,

Colleen F.

Once I reported a fur coat listed at 99 cents with shipping of over $100, and I got a similar response. People do it because ebay does nothing about it! With ebay's high fees, I think we will be seeing more and more of it! It will soon be the only way to compete... Sad, but true!
