My husband and I have recently been blessed with being chosen to receive donated embryos from a private couple in their mid-late 40's. YAY!!! (Side note) These embryos were originally created with DE for the fresh cycle.
We are arranging to have the embryos shipped to our clinic.
My question is this:
What information about the embryos gets transferred/exchanged/communicated between the 2 clinics as part of the protocol?
Will my clinic receive the embryology report history of each embryo? Ex. Embryo #1 was an 8b on day 3 or 10 eggs retrieved, 8 mature, 5 fert, 3 day 5 blast, etc.
Will my clinic receive the vital stats of the embryos? Egg & Sperm donor ages at time of conception? This is of concern because most of what I've seen has nothing but the IP names on the embryo paperwork despite DE being used. This could potentially cause a judgement error from RE in their recommendations on how many to transfer for our FET. The egg used to create these guys was 20 something y/o, not 40 something as the paperwork would lead one to believe. I think there's some sort of HIPA issue with that.
Anyone out there been through this & can provide some insight? I plan to have as much of this information printed up for my RE so we can make a good decision on our FET, but I really don't want to keep hassling the donating couple if I don't need to because the original clinic forwards stuff like this routinely.
Thank you!

Hi Kumleam,
I would imagine they would have access to all of the information as if it was a "regular" IVF cycle, but I could be wrong. Can you call your RE and ask what info they expect you to obtain/what info they will already have?
GL!
