WHat is the general process for doing a donor egg cycle. My RE said he would start me on BCP for a month then I would be taking progesterone. What kind of monitoring would I expect? With my own eggs of course I was going nearly every day for blood or ultrasound. Is this still the same case if I am using donor eggs?

No...
Let's see if I remember.
I went in to pick up my meds.
Then I went in to make sure my lining was sufficient a few days before transfer.
Then I went in for retrieval/DH's contribution.
Then three days later, went in for transfer.
You will not be going in every day. It's completely different than a cycle with your own eggs.

LMRR:
It's similar to an FET if you've ever had one.
Good luck!

its so much less intense than using your own eggs. i think i went in twice for labwork and then the lining check/test transfer. started with bcp. then added lupron shots. stopped those a week before transfer. on to estrogen patches, estrogen orally, progesterone suppositories and the PIO shots. PNV and baby aspirin. im still doing all that. apparently until 12 or 13 weeks? my u/s is next week, im sure that will tell me more.
ive already forgotten it wasnt my egg.

Why do you have to do progesterone shots instead of the suppositories done with my own eggs?
