Katie / Ymee / Tootsie Sending you lots of hugs and ++ thoughts. praying you all feel better and will be up to cycling again soon.

Hopeful - WOW! 20 years anniversary!! HUGE Congrats!! Enjoy your weekend getaway!

Salcedo - Big day today??? ER???? Sending lots of +++ for lots of eggs and a great fertility report. I know how exciting this time is...probably hard to sleep!

Nala - Almost there, chickie! Hope the ER is still on schedule for Monday! +++ thoughts!

Tammy - 2ww is torture, but it sounds like some very encouraging signs! It's ok to obsess...it helps to vent to your online friends! Sending you ++++ beta thoughts

Bisb - PUPO! I know how exciting and scary it is at the same time! Drink lots of water and eat that pinapple!!!

Gab - Oh friend, it's ok to feel somewhat detached right now. It's only natural to throw up your defenses in fear of those hopes crashing down. It's been such a long long process for you. This is dragging out forever, I know! Gosh, I FEEL for you! I am glad your own DR is optimistic. I'm glad there is a sac/pole and pray for a heartbeat next week! Remember, you also had major surgery during your 2ww. You have a strong fighter in there and we are praying for your little blessing!

Smiling - Sounds like things are going great! How you feeling? Are you excited about your u/s next week? How would you feel about twins?? I think it would be awesome...two for the price of one!

DANA - YAY on an OCT FET!!!! SUPER psyched for you!!! Will you be doing intralipids with the cycle?

Molly - WOW, it sounds like your sister is doing splendidly!!! Great follicle count and E2. I assume she's on atleast 7-9 days of stims?

#1Aunt - So is your donor on target to begin stims on Sat? I can't really think of any questions, other than maybe her baseline antral count. It's usually a pretty good predictor of cycle outcome. 14>20 is good! Lower could mean slow/no response and higher is risk of hyperstimulation. Both can be controlled with monitoring/med adjustments. Exciting time for you!!

AFM - Had my pre-op appt for surgery this Tuesday to remove my hydrosalpinx. My Yale RE specializes in implantation failure and did some blood work that supports what the Beers Center confirmed: Insulin Resistance as well as some inflammatory markers. He said, though borderline, all three of these issues could be contributing to our failed cycles. Beers had me on Metformin for insulin resistance, but only 1/2 the dosage Yale has prescribed. I was also on an inflammatory med already, but hoping the inflammation is due to the hydro tube. But while in surg they will look for other issues that could be contributing to that. Not sure when I will be cleared for cycle. Have to get these things resolved so that we can optimize our FET cycles.

NERVOUS about surgery, I always hate being knocked out. But, our friend GAB had major surgery awake so I will think YOU GAB, and try to be stong!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Happy Friday, everyone!
I wish I could say I'm soooo ready for the weekend, but I have to work! Ugh... We have major tradeshows four times each year and lucky me, one of them starts tomorrow! Oh well.... DH will just have to enjoy himself at the Georgia football game without me!

We are good to go... our donor does start her stims tomorrow! Rhonda, they told me that her AFC was 18 so I'm happy to know that's good! I finally feel like we are "official". Now if I can only get through next week without losing my mind wondering how she's doing and if my lining is doing it's thing!!! (Hmmm. maybe it is a good thing that I have this trade show to deal with, after all!)

I'm swamped for time, but wanted to share a funny dream I had the other night. As a sidenote, my friend who went through DE last year (and now has the cutest, most adorable, HEALTHY 9 month old TRIPLETS!!) told me that she had several dreams (nightmares?) before and after transfer that her husband was cheating on her. Of course, each time she told him, he gently reminded her that SHE was paying good money for him to do so! :-) Well, I had my first one myself... In the dream, we were actually at the my parents' old house that I grew up in along with all of our families and our entire wedding party to celebrate the engagement of my husband and his 2nd wife! Now, mind you, we are still married in the dream.... but this 2nd wife that was entering our family was the one that he was having his children with. With champagne glass in hand, I pulled him aside and told him that I no longer liked this idea and did not want this chick intruding into our lives... and besides, it's illegal to be married to more than one person at the same time not to mention that we're not Mormon! He was adamant that he didn't love her and that I would be the "most important wife".... What was weird was how everyone that was at the party all thought that this was perfectly normal. Kind of disturbing when I woke up, but then I had to laugh and thought,"Well... that's pretty much what (my friend) said might happen!" It's so crazy how all of these emotions crop up in dreams. Have you all had anything like this???

Alright, I've just used up all of my limited time typing about that darn dream... I want you all to know that EVERYONE is in my thoughts and prayers!!! I'm cheering for all of us to hang in there regardless of our circumstances!!! STAY POSITIVE!!! (Lord knows, I'm trying to....)

#1aunt - i have had dreams myself but didn't think anything of it until you mentioned having dreams...interesting. one of the dreams was about my husband, me and 2 other woman, he was with one woman and i was with the other, and i remember thinking, i don't like this and should i tell him that i don't like it or should i just let it happen? and my other dream involved him and his ex ex girlfriend and i think i cried in that dream but didn't want him to see that i was upset. haven't had a dream like that in a while though.

Rhonda - today is day 7 of stims and tomorrow we go for u/s to measure them. good luck with your surgery!

RE dreams and ttc:

Interesting how your pshyche's work ladies!

I've had a few dreams as I have progressed in the process of donor embies FET's. Except they were romantic with guys I liked kissing me with affection---not necessarily get-down passion. I have never had dreams like this---usually were nightmares when I was in a relationship. (Though in hindsight it were good calls! LOL)

Rhonda, my latest 'obsession' is coming the boards looking for successes after failed fresh IVF's with 'perfect' blasts. To encourage you, I came across two FT posts this morning where they had repeated failures with fresh and FET, then had a live-birth pregnancy the FIRST cycle after they had surgery to remove one or two hyro tubes!

Rest up this weekend! Rent a few humours movies to watch while recovering from the surgery!

Did anyone take a recurrent miscarriage panel blood test before starting DE? I was talking to another woman who had 3 m/c (same as me) ..... before she started her DE clinic gave her this panel test.. it has something to do with clotting.

Anyone have any information on this?

#1Aunt - good luck... hope donor stims REAL good!!!!

Labbatts,

I did not have the testing, but RE prescribed baby A, lovenox injections, Intralipids day of transfer, extra progesterone and I also did acupuncture before and after and at five weeks gestation. I also take fertility supplements, Omega 3's and greens. (though after transfer, I take greens WITH food, i/o 15 min before eating.)

Good luck and I am sorry to hear of your losses.

Dana- thanks for the encouragement. I love success stories and it is encouraging to know that the issues I have are treatable and may lead to a long overdue BFP!

Labbatts - I've had testing for m/c and failed DE cycles. I was recently diagnosed via HSG hydrosalpinx-which is infection in the fallopian tube that causes toxitity in the uterus. I have surgery Tues for that. I also did blood work through Beers and some through my YALE RE. BOTH confirmed insulin resistance and inflammatory markers. I'm back on Metformin (working up to 2000mg) for insulin resistance and fish oil. The hydro and the IR can cause inflammatory issues and clotting issues. These types of conditions can cause m/c and failed donor cycles.
Both treatable though!
