Hi all. I am so excited that I found this group. I am going to start DE process (1st meeting) with my clinic on Friday. Nervous and excited all rolled into one. I would like to congratulate all the expecting moms!!! Thatr is fantastic and gives us all hope.

I have been TTC for 4 years, 3 miscarriages, 4 IUI, 3 IVF. I turned 40 this year and thought my body had been through enough... so opted for DE.

Any advise is much appreciated. Again, congrats to all!

Nicole

welcome Nicole this a great group. If you need advice we have many exprts.

AFM , surgery went well but it sucked. Because of the baby, they. Used just a spinal and much local (no general). There is nothing like the sound of scraping bone! Most of the disk was blown and it had to be scraped off ( ouch)! It took 4 hours with no narcotics I get to walk a bit and also practice sitting before I get discharged. Although I hurt, it is only at the site, I am in much less pain already.
Best wishes,
Gab

ps ignore grammar and spelling on this note please.

Everyone

YAY SMILING!!! Great Beta! Congrats!!!!

Nicole / Nalampala - Welcome! You'll find amazing support on this board! Congrats on moving forward with donor egg. It brings much hope after soooo much disappointment. Any questions....ask away!

Gab - OMGosh! I couldn't be that strong! I would have been in tears before surgery! YOU CAN BET your a*s I will be thinking of YOU before my surgery! I cry because I'm afraid to be knocked out! So this time, I promise to be strong and grateful that I CAN be knocked out! I'm glad that so short after surgery you are already feeling less pain!

Hope- HUGS! Thinking of you and hope you are getting better every day!

Ymee -
Any news???? Sending up +++ for you and surogate. My DH has friends that had to do a surogate in India-but they were able to use their own eggs. She had a m/c that almost killed her so they advised her not to carry. They are in the 2ww.

Hi Melgal Salcedo, Tootsie, Ellie and anyone I missed!

AFM - My local RE called last night and said we will get me in for surgery soon. I'm waiting for a call to schedule me. I'm sure it won't be as soon as I want. I will be grateful if I can get this done in Sept. Meanwhile, I'm kinda excited to get out of CT for a few days when we go to Az next Friday and they cross the border to Mexico on Sat Sept 5th for LIT treatment. They have been very nice and have helped me make all the arrangements.

I'm trying to stay encouraged about our upcoming FET(s) I know the success rates aren't nearly as good as a fresh cycle, but realizng that with the hydrosalpinx I really only had about a 20% chance, keeps me holding on to a little hope.

Take care everyone!

Hey everyone: we are leaving the hospital today. Baby's betas aren't climbing as fast as they should be. Of course I am FREAKING out about this but RE isn't as concerned, primarily because it is still only 13dp5dt. However they are rising. We are at 187.5. The actual test date was originally scheduled for tomorrow . The other theory is that we had twins and lost one. It's hard to say. I am having another beta tomorrow ( pretty much every day). The other concern the RE had was to re-start the lovenox because I had a 5 days off so I wouldn't bleed out after the surgery. We re-started the lovenox this morning.
I hope the slowly increasing values are a sign of all is well but I am afraid we will have to start over well , at least I know I can get pregnant.

Please keep us in your thoughts,
Gabrielle
