Endometrin/Progesterone dosage for egg recipient
Hi I am currently going for a donor egg IVF. Since I am Indian, because Indian egg donor’s availability is rare here in the USA, I am going to India for this IVF.
My doctor in India told me to take progesterone vaginal suppositories 800 mg per day. ( 400 mg in the morning and 400 mg in the evening). That makes Endomtrin 8 times a day, since each endometrin tablet contains 100 mg. I am thinking it is too much dosage. Because when I took fertility treatments here, in USA ( IVF and IUI) I just took endometrin 2 or 3 times a day. The nurses in clinic where I had been taking treatment from past 5 years, don’t comment on anything because I am not their patient anymore. Is the dosage high for the egg recipient compared to regular IVF dosage? Can you please share how many endomtrin or how much progesterone you took per day during your egg donor IVF cycle after the ET?
