Donor Egg Week of 8/10/09
Hi everyone: we got 11 eggs (mature) today! Our donor produced 39 eggs today. We actually got 13 but 2 were immature. Now keep your fingers crossed that they fertilize.
Best wishes, Gab

Hi ladies! Sorry I have been MIA but I was away for a few days and returned with a terrible cold!! Anyway, went in today for my lining check, and everything looked great lining was thick and my estrogen/progesterone levels were good too. I also got a call about my donor, on day 3 she had a follicle count of 25, today she was in after starting stims and now they count 18 follicles. How many do you think I will get since I am in the 1:2 program, I am starting to get worried
![]() dolcib: Great news about your eggs!! Good luck with everything!! |

Gab-Congratulations on a great batch of eggs! I can't wait to hear your fert report tomorrow!
Katie-I'm glad your lining and labs look good. I don't have any idea about how many eggs for you to expect but when I got a mic cycle update about my donor while she was stimming they told me 17 and she had 53 retrieved, 38 mature. I'm not sure if they were looking at someone elses chart or only included one ovary count or what but I was very pleasantly surprised! Sorry about the cold they are so much worse in summer, feel better! salcedo-GL with saline ultrasound and Lupron! You're on your way! AFM-ET this morning went well. Transfered 2 expanded blasts and will let the others grow another day before freezing. Transfer was very easy, no discomfort. The only problem I've had is pain urinating since I've been home. I think it's from where the RE drained my bladder after transfer. I've never been catherized before and didn't know what to expect. Now for the hard part 2ww! Have a great day! Hope |

Hopeful! Expanding blasts are great! I hope all continues to go well.
Katie: the follicle count sounds fine. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. My donor had 28 follicles but they were 39 eggs. I am in a 3:1 and got 11. Salcedo: GL oN your saline u/s. I Lways hate the leakage afterwards! Best wishes, Gab |

wow great news about the eggs gals!!!
I just heard today that we are a go!!! we are couple #2 of 3, I haven't heard anything else, I am going to guess that we will have our cycle some time at the end of September! On another note......I am unsure of why we need to start a new board every week, I think that in hind sight it will be harder for woman to join into our group and there will be a lot of repeating of information. There are other boards on here that are really really really long.....I wonder if we can start a board, on another link on FT that will not make us start a new one once a week?????? I know that when I started on boards I did take the time to read them, as many lurkers do and felt that I knew everyone once I did start to write, It is frustrating, that now we need to read on several boards just to catch up....having gone MIA do to my BFN! Just wanted to voice my humble opinion....maybe its the hormones.....I personally feel that it is unfair that we should need to do that!

Gab and Hopeful- Great news!!! Good luck.
I had my appointment today with my RE to discuss DE. I am nervous about my preliminary tests to see if I qualify for the shared risk program. I'm not worried about the sonhsg, since I've had several before and have never had any problems. I am worried, however, about my response to just delestrogen to build a thick enough lining during the mock cycle. In all of the ivfs I did with my own eggs, I needed delestrogen, terbutaline, viagra suppositories, baby aspirin, and lovenox to create a thick enough lining. Of course, I was then taking BCPs and lupron to suppress me which also thins my lining. Since I won't be taking them as part of the mock cycle, hopefully I'll be ok. I will be devastated if I don't qualify for the shared risk program with DE after all I have gone through.

elli: I have the same concern too. My HSG is normal but my last mock cycle had problem. On one hand, they told me that their blood work was screwed up and I need to redo a mock exam again. On the other hand, they told me that my exam was inconsistent. In the coming mock cycle, I'm worried if my new mock exam is inconsistent or cannot be controlled by drugs, I will not be able to sign up for the shared risk program.
Gab: Congrats to your donor eggs! Hope: Congrats to the successful transfer! I don't know that we need to be catherized. I'm scared to hear that. Like you, never done before. Is it required in the transfer? Salcedo: Glad to hear you are going to start lupron soon! I'm excited for you! Katie: Hope your cold can get better soon! AFM, I feel cramping in the following days every visit to acupuncture while I'm on BCPs. Does anybody know if I can do acupuncture while taking regular BCPs? Or, can I have acupuncture during the mock cycle? Blossomo: thinking of you!! Hi Ladies, good night and sweet dream! |
