3:1 sharing got BFN
Hello- I'm 43 yrs old and I just finished a DE cycle with a large clinic in my area (SG). We did a shared donor cycle, 3 couples recieved one donor's eggs. We only got one 5 cell embryo to transfer and it was a BFN. I want to try again but the heartbreak is so bad and we are broke. Anyone else try this option and end up with nothing?

Hi Gold. I am sorry about your BFN.
I go to SG too, and had my transfer on the 9th, I am also in the 1:3 and we were the 3rd couple. We had chosen a new donor and only got 4 eggs of which only 2 fertilized. so we did a 3day transfer each embryo was 6 cell and graded as a 1. We are also in the shared risk program so we will get 5 more try's. I am wondering if we switch to the 1:2 our chances wold be better. (I am not feeling very confident with this cycle ,and I have been POAS with BFN.) I can kick myself for going with a new donor and do not plan on doing that again. Do you know how soon after a BFN you can start to cycle again? like I said I think this one for us is a failure.

BFN stinks
Hi Melgal,
When you do shared risk do you have to pay for the screening of the donor with each cycle? We did not do shared risk so we have decided to move to another clinic, we feel like we made a big mistake in going the shared donor route. I hope you have better luck in your next round. Arlene |
