Question Question re. high estrogen level

I have a question for all you knowledgeable ladies. I should have asked my nurse this when she called, but I didn't think of it until it was too late. I went in to the clinic for my cyst check and bloodwork today. The plan was for me to start my stim injections on Sunday. My nurse called a little bit ago and said that my estrogen level was a little too high and they wanted to re-check me on Monday. So no stims until after then.

Is this significant? I'm worried that my high estrogen could wreck this cycle or disqualify me as a donor. I've done two donations and am accustomed to responding to the drugs in a textbook manner. Any thoughts? Reassurances?

Well, I got my call from the clinic. Today's estrogen levels are good and I'm starting my stims tonight.

The have me doing both menopur and gonal-f tonight, it's kind of strange. I would have expected to start stims tomorrow. My recipient must really have an inflexible timeline.

Glad your E2 levels were ok. As I remember when you are starting a cycle of meds the RE (at least mine) wanted to see E2 below 50. If it was higher it might be a cyst producing the E2 or something like that. Again, glad you are on your way.

Mav, thank you for that information. I should have asked my nurse but she usually calls when I'm busy doing something, like making dinner for my cranky family. So it's all I can do just to keep her instructions straight.

I went in for the u/s today and everything is looking good - 16 nice-looking follicles and some smaller gals that might catch up by next week.
