Trip Insurance for changes in timing?

Hi. We will be traveling for our ivf with an egg donor. As I am sure you have all exprienced, these matters don't always take place on the exact day that they are scheduled. Does anyone know of a trip insurance that would cover adjusting our trip, due to ivf timing issues? All of the insurance places I called will only cover medical emergencies and/or won't cover extending a trip once you leave.

Any helpe would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Most airlines will let you change the dates for a small fee. I've missed flights on non-refundables and for about 75 was able to reschedule flight. Definately don't count on the exact dates. I've had cycles right on the day and cycles that were off by 3 wks

Not as easy as that...

Unfortunately, that isn't a good option in this case. These are international tickets (we are going to Spain), so changing will cost more than $500. PLUS the difference of what the tickets cost. Last-minute tickets to europe run around $3,000 + each.
