Twins with donor sperm

Hello, I am new to this board so I thought I would share a little bit of my story. DH and I married 2000 and immediately started TTC. We were 26 and ready to start our family. After a year had passed with no success I knew something was wrong. It took me nearly another year to convince DH to get tested. We knew I had minor PCOS but I was ovulated semi-regularly so we didn't think that was the problem. DH's sperm count came back at 2 million, very very low. His urologist started him on Clomid, 21 day cycles with 7 days off. For six months. His count increased to 12 million. This made us hopeful. He continued his clomid cycles while we BDed and used OPKS to detect surges. After yet another year without a child we finally sought the help of an RE. We started seeing the RE in November of 2003. We did a clomid/IUI cycle in January of 2004 with DH's sample, another in February of 2004 which failed as well. After wash DH's count was under 100,000 and our RE encouraged us to think about using a donor as IVF was out of our financial league. We chose a donor and had our first donor IUI in April of 2004. That cycle failed as well. On May 14th we had our 2nd donor cycle. 14 days later I had implantation spotting (which I thought at first was AF) The next day I got my BFP. We found out just under 3 weeks later that we were having twins. At 20 weeks we found out they were boy/girl twins. At 28 weeks I went on bedrest because of cervical incompetence but miraculously I didn't deliver until 37 1/2 weeks. Healthy babies. In 2006 I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. Almost 4 years exactly after we got pregnant with the twins I was cleaning up a cat mess and got sick. I never get sick. I realized that my ever changing cycle was probably late. I got a BFP that day. I am now 22 weeks pregnant with an amazing little miracle. We were told by the RE that we had about a 1/300,000,000 chance of successfully conceiving on our own.

That is such a great story!

I also have a minor form of pcos. My DH has m/f issues thus forcing us to use donor sperm. We are about to have our first IUI with donor sperm. Your story was encouraging! And also sounds so much like us! My dh and i are both 26 and dealing with this right now. It was great to hear your experience
