How long did you have to wait for your clinic to get your donor in for a consult?

Our clinic is telling us they won't be able to see our donor until late August/early September. Unfortunately, that's bad timing for our donor as she is a teacher. I know that when I went to the clinic as a new patient (for my own cycle), it only took about a week to get in for an appointment. I'm just wondering what experiences others have had with getting the donor cycle started.

All the donor's we were presented on paper were available right away. It still took 3 months to get the one that worked for us to retrieval day. Overall, it depends on the practice you use and on the donor you pick, I believe.

You could ask for those available now and see if you have a match.

Good luck

We used a donor from my RE's donor pool & when we said that we were ready, they got her going. My RE doesn't have long waits to get in though. At the most, you'd wait for a month.

I would call them back & explain that since she's a teacher, that will be really difficult on her schedule & see if there's any way they can get her in sooner. Also, ask if they can put you on a cancellation list & if they have any cancellations sooner, for them to put her on the books & call you to let you know!

Good luck!
