Is There A National Egg Donor Registry?

I am 30 years old ,and in need of IVF due to tubal removal.I had 1 fresh and 2 fet with no success.I have exhausted all my financial options and my doctor told me about the shared donor program. I had tests run and found out I have 2 copies of the C667T of the MTHFR. I had no idea what this was but the wonderful people on this site were able to explain it to me in more detail. My drs. nurse said I probably would not get picked due to this gene because the people who are looking for donors do not want any genetic problems. My OB told me to find out if there was a national donor registry and if I was picked we would just have to make sure the other woman did not have this gene.I would love to donate my eggs to someone and help myself and someone else become a mom. So one Dr. has a positive thought and the other not so positive.I would love nothing more than to become a mom, and if I could help someone else too that would be a double bonus. If anyone knows of any king of registry list , can you kindly let me know of it.

Thank you

Angel -

Very nice of you to consider sharing your eggs. Many clinics offer this now for IVF patients. It cuts costs for the donor and recipient. I go to Shady Grove Fertility Center in the Wash DC/MD and they offer it and they also have various shared risk packages for up to 6 fresh cycles

There is one registry in the sticky at the top of the thread. I found atleast three when I googled frozen egg banks.

Best of luck to you!
