Spotting before DE-IVF ET??
Hi-
I also posted this on FET... I am really worried and need some guidance and reassurance. My DH and I are doing a DE-IVF cycle and my ET is going to be on 6/5. I had my U/S and b/w today--my E2 was 222 and my uterine lining was 15! I never have problems with my lining and started out at 5.5 but because I am taking estrace (6mg daily right now and then back down to 4mg on Sunday) it has jumped up! I expressed my concerns today at the REs but he wasn't concerned. Well, 2 hrs ago, I had some spotting--reddish in color (sorry for the TMI) Of course, I am freaking out, so I called the on-call RN who said she called the RE who advised me to cut my estrace dose in half over the next 3 days and then call in on Monday. If the spotting doesn't stop, then I am to call in. So, I only took 1/2 of a 2mg tablet this evening. I am also taking lupron and baby aspirin. I am suppose to stop my lupron after tomorrow and start my pio IM shots on Sunday. I am so worried about my lining being too thick and cancelling my cycle! Has anyone out there experienced this before? Did the spotting stop? And anyone have such a thick lining with success? ANY response would be greatly appreciated. I am truly grateful for the support of everyone on this website. Sending lots of baby dust to everyone! Gigi

Hi gigimom,
I've never had the spotting do to the estrace in my first ivf cycle. Now I am on Del Estrogen injections every 3 days. The last they checked my lining, it was at 18mm and my RN said that that was great! I've never heard of them cancelling a cycle because of the uterine lining being too thick. If that were the case I'm sure they would have told me to cut my dosage. Now, if bleeding starts then I'm sure that may cancel a cycle. Try not to worry and be sure to call your RE first thing Monday morning. I remember when I was on estrace my lining was at 19mm. Sounds like your cycle is right around mines. My donor goes for ER on 6/5. I hope everything works out for you. Please feel free to come join me and my little cycle group over at the "Hard to Wait" thread. Those girls are the best and can answer propable any question, or at least give you some insight, that you may have. Best of Luck EP |

EP-
Thanks for your reply. I really do appreciate it! I followed the instructions of the RN at my REs and cut the dose in 1/2 and the bleeding has stopped. I still have a little discharge but the nurse said that all the hormones can cause more discharge. So I will keep watching it and hope for the best. EP sounds like we are on an almost similar schedule. We are in the home stretch! Sending good thoughts your way Let me know how things go.Thanks again. Gigimom |

Cool, now I have someone to go bonkers with in the 2ww. I start my PIO this week. I am wondering if I'll have to stay on the Del Estrogen while I am on the PIO? I sure won't miss all of these injections if I get a BFP. I feel like a pin cushion.Have your donor gotten anymore follicles since you last checked? I am cautiously optimistic at this point. Soooo afraid to get my hopes up. My donor seems to be doing okay and so am I. But still, I constanly prepare myself for the worst outcome. I have my fingers crossed for you and even though I am afraid to jump for joy in all of this, I KNOW that eventually this is going to work for us both. The next think you know, we'll be sending each other pics of our little ones. Check back this week and let me know how everything is going. Baby Dust and Sticky Vibes, EP |
