FRER PG Tests and Betas (PG Mtn'd and Loss Mtn'd)

I have not posted much here since my second m/c in November. I m/c twins from my 2nd fresh DE cycle just before Thanksgiving and it hurt so bad to come back here and post...I have been pretty miserable lately...anyway...

I just want to tell all you precious ladies that I recently went through an FET with my 4 leftover blasts. The tww was so miserable (as you all know) that I could not take it anymore and I poas 9dp6dt and was shocked to get a faint + on an FRER (First Response Early Result). I did not use FMU either so I figured that if I waited until the next morning to test again with FMU, I would see an even darker line...this did not happen...the + result this morning with FMU was even more faint than yesterday's afternoon test. And the cheapo HPT tests I bought on ebay all show a - result.....

Well, I promptly freaked out and went to the RE's office because today is 10dp6dt but beta was not scheduled until tomorrow because they don't usually run betas on the weekend...They ran a special test for me today and my beta came back at 123!!! With only a very very faint + on the FRER. The nurse said she cheated 3 days ago and knew my beta then and she says everything looks good...doubling time is appropriate...

Moral: Don't rely on HPTs!!!!! Don't rely on HPTs and don't poas...It only causes grief and agony...

Well, good betas mean nothing. Another m/c for me. Three in a row from DE. What the hell do I do.

Oh no!! I am so very sorry!!!

Have all 3 of your losses been from eggs from the same donor? If so, I wonder if maybe there is a genetic issue with the eggs that is causing it? Or, I wonder if you may have some immune issues? It might be worth asking your RE if you could have some immune testing done to make sure that you don't have any immune issues that might be causing you to miscarry each time you get pg. There's an awesome Immune Issues board here at FT & the ladies there are super!! You can ask them what types of tests should be done to see if your recurrent m/c's are immune related.

I so badly wish that you weren't posting this news & I wish beyond anything that I could change this outcome for you.

Please keep us posted on what you find out & what you decide to do.

Hi nrm,

Have you been tested for autoimmune issues? Have you had you DHEA and other adrenal hormons tested. I know this is a sad time for you but, knowing the cause of the problem may help you. I know it's been a help to me. Though knowing that I have adrenal hormones at the level of a 80 year old doesn't help much.
Your RE might put you on prednisone or some sort of immunosuppressant for the first 12 weeks to help you out. I know that's my protocol.

So sorry nrm. I hope that finding the cause may help you a little.
