Help! uterine lining not cooperating

My donor will be having ER approx. on Wed and I had my first u/s to check my lining yesterday a.m. and I woke up bleeding, not a full period but more than spotting. The RE called and my lining was only 3. I was taking estrace 4mg daily, they said some women's bodies do not absorb the estrogen very well so they increased it to 8mg and added an estrogen patch this a.m. She said if I am still bleeding on the donors ER day that I will have to wait and freeze the eggs and transfer later. I am so freaking frustrated that I cannot see straight, DH and I cannot seem to catch a **** break. If I quit bleeding
(usually AF only hangs around for 3 days for me), my lining has to catch up in time.

Do any of you think I have a chance? Is there anything I can do? another
girl on a different board was given viagra for her lining so can you be building a lining w/o that one being shedded while you are getting rid of another one?

I would call them right now & ask if you can add a couple patches instead of just using 1 patch. Also, ask if you can do a couple of your Estrace vaginally, as that will sometimes help.

Oh, one more thing- how do you take your Estrace? You don't just drink it with water or something, right? The best way to take Estrace is to put it under your tongue & let it dissolve on it's own. People who use Nitroglycerin tablets for heart problems put their pill under their tongue because as it dissolves, it gets absorbed into the body much faster. When I did my Estrace, I was told to let them dissolve under my tongue. They don't taste good, but who cares if that will help thicken your lining!! You need a quick thicker upper, so do everything possible!!

Call your RE right now while they might still be there. If they're not there, call the after hours number to see if it's ok that you add a patch or two & see about doing one of your Estrace vaginally, while taking the others orally!

BC-Thanks! I am taking it w/ water, they also never told me than when I increased to 2 daily to take one at night and one in the a.m. so I was taking them both at the same time. I just paged the RE before I read your post, he did not sound too concerned except he would prefer me not bleeding right now but hopefully the patch will help. I will take it under my tonge from now on and instead of taking the 2 together in a.m. and p.m., I thought I would space them apart by several hours so it would not upset my body, what do you think? I also have been reading up on the viagra deal and thought maybe I may take one of dh's, not sure yet.

What about acupuncture? That is suppose to increase blood flow to that area, that should thicken your lining. I was also told to eat a big bloody steak to help with lining....who knows. I hope it thickens up fast!

(after thought) and what about taking estrodial shots? I always got my estrogen through shots when doing FETs. Maybe that might help by going directly into your body???

I am not sure if I have time for acupuncture, I could definitely eat a big steak!
My RE will call me tomorrow w/ an update on the donor and I will definitely ask about the shots, I have a feeling he will want me to wait until Mon. when I go for my next lining check, my local RE checks those b/c the RE that is doing this cycle is 2 hrs away.
