Super Bank Super Sperm
Okay gals,
I just had to post this here and start a new thread. In a previous post about good sperm banks I asked about Midwest Sperm Bank. Another woman was also interested in them. I want to tell that I did a donor IUI today with a donor from Midwest Sperm Bank and my doctor was very impressed with the specimen. He said that I had got some good stuff. Motility and the numbers were very high. Ladies this place is so worth it. The prices are excellent and the customer service is out of this world. The director of the bank is also very intelligent and she knows her stuff. My doctor commented that the prices are most likely so good because it is the Midwest. He said that things are cheaper there. My feeling is why pay an arm an a leg for sperm. Also worth mentioning is that they went out of their way to get the sperm to me and profiles of donors within a short time. I was not planning on doing an IUI as I did an HSG last week so I could not use any drugs my last period because of the test. I went to my doctor on Monday for a scan to check on ovulation since my fibroid removal surgery in the summer. My doctor said my egg was measuring 1.6 and that other things looked good as well. He said I would ovulate most likely on Wednesday. He highly encouraged moving forward with a natural cycle as things looked well and my odds were higher on acheiving pregnancy due to the HSG. He enquired if the bank could have the stuff here by Wednesday. I said that I would call and ask. That day my doctor signed the required papers and his office faxed the required forms. That night which was Monday night the bank e-mailed me some donor profiles and then the next day I called the bank and they shipped out the specimen by 12:00 pm. The speciman arrived at my doctor's office by 12:00 and it was ready to go for me a few hours later. It has been a whirl wind last three days but so worth it. My 7th IUI did not hurt at all. Where as the other six did. My doctor told me the part where their might be cramping and I felt nothing. Before this he commented that I was ready and that the timing was perfect. He could tell from my cervix and my body. When he was done he said it was good that I did not feel cramping and again he commented that everything was perfect. I inquired about medication for next month and he said this is it we will not need to do this again. My doctor is very optimistic. He has encouraged me since being ready since my surgery to be optimistic. He knows me all to well. I am so hopeful ladies. Two neat things happened today before my IUI and they give me hope. I feel like I had super sperm put in me today. I feel like watching Superman. I am thankful that we pushed to do this today. Now my hubby and I will wait a few weeks and then we will know. My hubby went with me today and I am glad he was with me. Keep hoping and keep searching, Chriss
