November Donor cycles

Hi all -- are there any others out there who are planning on a November donor cycle?

I've been through 3 failed IUIs and 3 failed IVFs, alas.

I have my 1st egg donor cycle set up for November, with a younger cousin as a donor. I live in NY but will be traveling to Florida, where my cousin lives, for the transfer. First we have to all pass our psych eval and other preliminary tests (cousin blood tests, a mammogram for me), and then we're on our way -- transfer could be sometime around Thanksgiving!

Is anyone else doing a donor cycle around that time who would care to share the journey?

Best,
Kat

HI Kat...
I will actually be in both Dec. and Nov. SO i guess by the "rules" I should join a December group, but I will definitely be going through part of this in Nov.

This is my first DE cycle, we are using an annonymous Donor. Here's praying for both of us!

Thanks Wendy!

I can use those prayers, and I'll send you some as well! My cycle will likely be toward the end of November, and I'm so glad we'll be able to cheer each other along.

I have some preliminary stuff to do: get a mammogram next week, talk to a counselor, get a new sperm analysis. Plus my donor (cousin) needs to complete her bloodwork and psych eval. So we have a few mile markers to pass along the way!

Are you all set up for the cycle, or is there preliminary work you need to do?

Here's hoping for holiday BFPs for us!

Best,
Kat

Hi Kat...
My donor is in the process of getting her physical exams and blood work cleared now. I'm not too worried, from what I've heard she is healthy as a horse.
She is scheduled to start BCP's on the 16th if all goes well. SHe has already done the psych and interview and passed with flying colors. As for me, I've done IVF so many times recently, there really is nothing left to check. RE did do a mock transfer last week, just to get that out of the way.

I will be praying for little holiday miracles for both of us!

I think I'll be joining ya'll. I've been through 2 failed IVF's - 1 cancelled cycle..Decided to do DE and she just failed her cycle!!! So now, I have to take progestrone for 10 days ...get AF.

I'm back to the drawingboard - looking for a new donor...I had a back up semi-lined up - so I'm hoping against all hope that we may be ready by Nov.

Hi all --

Well, all our preliminary appts are set! The ball is rolling, the wheels are in motion, etc etc. I am so excited! It looks like ER & ET will happen the week of Thanksgiving. Which is perfect, since I am teaching in a university as I have that week off.
It's only a few weeks away, but I feel so excited and eager it feels like forever! However, I have things to keep me busy and to serve as mile markers along the way, like a mammogram this Thursday (o joy!) and a preliminary trip to Florida for our sych interview and sperm analysis.

Hi Knitwit -- Any news on a new donor yet????

Helllo Wendy -- My donor (cousin) is starting BCPs this week. Maybe we'll have ER& ET within a week of each other.

Hi again Jennifer - thanks for your good wishes!!! I look forward to following your cycle when it comes along.

Hope to hear from you all soon!

Best,
Kat

Hello ladies!

Well, I made it through my mammogram, WHEW! The lump I had last year sems to have vanished!
IN just 8 days my cousin has her physical exam/consultation with the RE, and in 11 days my beau & I are headed for Miami for more tests. If we all pass all our screeenings, in just 3 weeks my cousin will be stimming!

Knitwit, congratulations on the new (old!) donor you mentioned on the other thread!

Wendy, how are you doing? Any news or updates?

Hi Jen if you're still reading along!

Hope you're both having a lovely weekend!

Best,
Kat
