Hi all!
Hi notreally me! Wonderful news on your cycle! Keep us posted -- do you guys have a lot of follies?

Hey bebe, KW, Wendy!

I'm back from Florida. The psych eval went great; I liked the counselor very much; she said we'd really done our homework and wished us well. The clinic continues to impress me: They have very strong success rates, they try to do each step as naturally as is possible, and they have their act together in so many little ways. For example, they give each patient a voice mailbox that you can phone into to get your news and instructions every day. I was also impressed to learn that with donor egg cycles, patients have the option -- if their donors make more than 20 eggs -- to donate the extras for the clinic's donor embryo program. Isn't that cool? Since my donor is my relative and older than the ideal, we opted to keep them all... I think we're going to need them all.

The hsyteroscopy was a breeze - what a relief that was to get it over with. And we got our calendar! I start Lupron next week, and estrogen the week after that. My cousin starts stims the week of 11-18. We should get our first follie count the day after Thanksgiving! The ER will happen on or near 11/29, and the transfer should happen about Dec. 4.

And my cousin - we had a fun visit with her and her son!

How is everyone doing? Hope the weekend is going well for you all!
Best,
Kat

Hey Gang!

Glad to hear everything went well in Miami. Kat, you're on almost the same schedule that I'm on. Our ER is scheduled for the 26th and ET on the 3rd. So glad everything sems to be moving along for everyone on this thread.
Good luck Notreally - hope the ER went well.

Hey there!

Retrieval is set for Monday the 29th. Looks like we have about 12 follicles...not a huge number and it stresses me out because I could have so many more with an anonymous donor but I still want that genetic link.

My RE is comfortable with the situation so we'll see what happens...if he did not approve of me using my sister, he would have told me so I am going to trust that he knows what he is doing.

I just want the pain of IF to end...you know? Hopefully this will be it for me.

Keep in touch ladies, I really need your support through this.

Hi notreallyme! I am so excited for you! 12 follies is a VERY good count, and sometimes even 20-something young donors make about that #. What's your sister's age, if you don't mind my asking?
I'm so glad to hear you aren't stressing about your sis taking the meds, and I hope your cycle is successful!
Let us know how many eggs are retrieved tomorrow if you can!
Will you transfer on day 3 or day 5 or don't you know yet?

Hey KW -- I'm psyched we'll be doing our ER & ET at the same time.

Bebe -- good luck with your new cycle!

Hey Wendy - Hope you are doing well.

Thanks again, Dana!

to everyone...

Best,
Kat

Hey!

My sister is 29 years old and I am hoping for a day 5 transfer. Tomorrow A.M. is ER and I am nervous and excited.

Last cycle we had 10 good eggs so I am hoping for at least the same...

Scary and exciting!

NRM-I am so psyched for you for today-I know you're nervous (who wouldn't be), but I'm praying that this is the means to the end of the IF nightmare for you hun. Please keep us posted. I know you need this to be over. Same here.

Kat-OMGosh-how awesome sweetie-things sounds so promising. How old is your cousin? I'm sure she's still fertile as ever and the clinic sounds very high tech and cutting edge, which puts you at ease, so that's good. I'm excited for you (not for the lupron), but for the chance, once again to become a mommy and ebing patient and jumping threu all the hoops to make your dream come true.

KW-that's great, you and Kat are ont he same schedule pretty much-that means great support!!! Best of luck sweets!

Had my day 6u/s-we have 3 follies at 13mm-next appt tomorrow morning to check size, but RE thinks I'll trigger tomorrow night. i HAD MY FIRST (Oh Sh!t)w/ my meds over the wknd. i realized after the pharmacy was closed that I didn't have enough meds to give myself Sat. night. Nice. So, I called around desperately to find someone who carried Gonal-F and had to call my new RE as an emergency to call in a Rx for me. He was cool with it and I found some until my pharm. opened on Sunday-whew!!! I kept thinking, OMGosh-I screwed this up, I've been doing this for 2.5 yrs and never messsed up and now I'm going to mess this cycle up!!!!
My RE also commented on how I'm micromanaging my trt, which I sort of am. I agreed to some of his things and he's agreed to some of mine, so i think we'll get thru it. he gives a 10000IU booster of hcg at 7dpo, which will make me get a period later than expected, whether I'm preg or not and I can't POAS-I didn't like that, but he did make a point"I want you preg. and I want to try something that's never been done b/f to see if it works for you". I thought "Okay, I'll do it." I am a little high maintenance after all the failures, i have my particulars about meds and such and that's just the way I am for now anyway.

Well, ER happened and my sister had 10 eggs and we believe 8 were mature. I guess tomorrow I will find out about fertilization.

I am feeling really disappointed and down b/c last cycle we had 10 mature eggs and ended up with 3 embies. I just want this to work and with maybe 8 mature eggs, how many embies can I get?!? I just have to keep telling myself to be positive. This is so hard and I wish I could sleep for the next 3 weeks straight.

Oh, ladies...we have it rough don't we?!?

Also, I don't want to do selective reduction but it seems like people are encouraging it. I feel like if I don't put in all I can, I am wasting embies but I won't reduce...this is so hard.
