Sigh - is it over?

Hi everyone,

We've been through countless cycles of our own and decided on using a donor. After 1 yr of trying to get a donor that was "proven" (that was a frustrating journey - so many failed medical, or moved, or backed out) it looks like our last chance is over.

Our donor, who had a great cycle with another couple, had a below average one with us. We did get 2 grade A embies and a B and had all 3 put in on day 3. For the first time EVER, I didn't have any spotting during the 2ww - and I got excited. My pregnancy test is tomorrow morning. However, this morning when I went to the bathroom - I had fresh blood. You would have been proud - I didn't freak out - just got up and went to the store and got a pg test. It is one of those digital reads yes/no. With the little bit of pee I had in me - I gave one a go. BFN. I have stopped bleeding - even after a bm (tmi - sorry).

I know I am obsessing - and should just wait for tomorrow - but was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with the brealthrough bleed right before pg test. My hope is that the digital reader won't tell me of faint traces and that there is still a chance.
(more info - been cramping on/off since transfer, sore bbs for the past 2-3 days).

Thanks and sorry for the long post.

Lilly,

I'm sure you're on pins and needles after seeing the blood. I had bleeding in early pregnancy with my DD and everything ended up being fine. Sorry you got the BFN today - like you said, maybe the urine concentration wasn't enough to show a BFP. Let's hope! The sore bbs sounds like a good sign.

All I can say is just wait it out until tomorrow. I really hope you get a +++++!

Thanks for the well wishes Tab11!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers.

In the meantime, I've decided with DH to work on something positive, learning about adoption. The main thing is to be a parent and get a child. I don't think I really care where/how that comes about anymore.

Hope everyone cycling/preparing is doing well!

Lilly

Sorry for the barge, but being that the blood was just a little bit for a short amount of time, I would try to stay as calm as possible. (I know, not all that easy, but sounds like you're doing a great job so far!)

The fact that you went to the bathroom & THEN went & got an hpt doesn't give any weight to the results of the hpt. Your urine needs to be concentrated to have enough hcg in your system to trigger a positive result- especially with those digital ones. I've even seen ladies do an hpt the morning of the beta, get a negative hpt, but a very positive beta! (and I'm talkin' beta's of well over 200!)

Good luck while you wait for your results today!

Karen

Thanks for the support

No more bleeding since the little bit Sunday morning - I finished off the other 2 digital tests on Sunday and all bfn - but pp was at a minimum each time.

Went for the blood test this morning and now jumping out of my skin everytime the phone rings.

Hmmm - maybe cheese fries will help with the wait (hahaha).

Hope I can keep my sense of humor later today. DH is out of town on business too - so this should be a doozey.

Well wishes to all,

Lilly
