Would you cycle with one follicle? or cancel and hope next cycle is better?

Have you, gulp, had only one follicle, then have your next cycle with several? Would you go ahead with one? or try again next month for more? I went ahead with one follicle in Feb--- BFN.

I have one unit left of my donor. Waiting to hear if I can get more. If not, I guess I could change donors.

My risk of m/cing is high, so feel rather exposed with only one follicle.

Value your opinion.

Thank you!

Dana,

That's a hard one. Almost a year ago when I was doing IUIs, it was obvious that the REs placed a lot of value on each cycle and didn't want to waste precious time unless absolutely necessary. I was 42-1/2 at that time. While on clomid I produced 2 good follies. Gonal F gave me 5 each time (twice).

The fact that you only have one unit left is throwing in a twist, isn't it? Personally, I would go for it this month. You've got a good follie now and there's no guarantee you will next month. Time is valuable at this point in your life. Hopefully, if necessary, you can get more units from your donor.

I know there are a lot of factors involved and it's definitely not an easy decision. Wishing you all the best in whatever you decide.

I would try with one because you never know.

Good luck!
