Started Mock Cycle yesterday....Scared!

I have been a lurker for awhile...posting on other boards, but none seem to have the support for DE like you all here. I am scared to death. I started the Lupron shots yesterday for the mock cycle and I am in this whole heartedly, but like most of you ahve written, I long for that biological connection every time I think about it.

I've been stimmed 4 times for IVF with only 2 times going through the transfer...poor response being the issue for the other 2 not taking. Both times I got a negative beta. I realy am ready to move on but I am scared I won't be able to let go of these feelings of not having a biological child.

Should I be concerned? I hear from the counselor that we have been going to that he has never heard of a woman getting over this once they are carrying the child. Am I crazy to worry?

Please let me know your thoughts!

Take Care

Georgia Girl,

I've never done DE before or been PG (ever) I too, am a "poor repsonder" to IVF...but, here are my observations....not a single woman on this board who has ever gotten a BFP - since I've been on it - has been anything other than totally thrilled. So I'm not sure what your counselor is referring to.... Sure, I catch myself thinking "I wonder if my child will have my grandmother's eyes or my Dad's laugh.....then I remember - not my genes". But, I look forward to building my family in this way....is your counselor implying that you couldn't fall totally in love with an adoptive child either?
Only you can answer the question if "you're crazy or not" - as for me I can't wait to feel my child moving in me one day. Because for me - I believe that God will send me the soul or souls that I'm meant to mother - whether it's an adoptive child or one through DE -
Good luck with your journey!

I don't know what the counselor means either.

I really think you'll bond to the child through pregnancy, nuturing and shared experience.

Welcome to our group.
