Isabelle, your question

I thought I'd post it here so as to give everyone a chance to respond.

Question - does anyone worry that the donor person may not take the right amount of meds or that they not take the trigger ...I know it sounds stupid, I am just afraid of getting no to little eggs for so much money..

Thoughts?

Isabelle

My thoughts are that my donor has been responsible enough to go to the information session, the medical testing appts, the psychological evaluation and testing appts, the genetic counseling appointments, and to have both her SO and herself meet to sign the consents that she'd probably be responsible enough to take her meds and show up to her appointments.

Also, if it makes you feel better, she doesn't get paid until she makes it to ER. So it's in her best interest to go to all her appointments.

I more worry about her getting in a car wreck on 285 in rush hour traffic on the way to an appt than that she's not doing as she's supposed to.

But this isn't some floozy off the street, this is someone who's both screened and committed to being an egg donor.

HTH,
Emily

Thank you - that helped a lot. I hate to say it - but the money is weighing hard on us. $25,000 and maybe no baby - we have one shot at this - have to wait until 2008 to even afford it..

Thank you - it really helped!

Dear Isabelle
I feel the same way. My fear is that the donor will change her mind in the middle of a cycle. I have read so many horror stories in this site. But I am still trying to be positive. A far as the finances are concern I have to save up for the meds. I will be using all of my retirement funds.
