6 weeks preg, still cramping and spotting

On Wednesday I will be six weeks pregnant and I am still experiencing spotting..granted it is very dark brown, almost grey. My RE says it could be due to the progeterone capsules that I use three times a day. I am also getting little crampy pains as well. Is this normal. I have already had three u/s and things seem to be going the way they are suppose to be going. Hoping for a heartbeat on Wed but it still might be too early.

My worse cramps ever was when I was pg!! So I would not be worried about them at all.

I have heard that dark brown spotting is fine. But I can understand your concern!

Well, I am continuing to bleed and have some pretty bad cramping. I just keep going back to RE for u/s to make sure the embryo measures okay. I had a very scarey day yesterday because I passed a large blood clot. u/s showed embryo okay but unexplained blood in my uterus. RE says it's common but not normal. I just need to take it easy and pray. Can't do much more than that. Otherwise, I have all the other signs of a pretty normal pregnancy...m/s, huge sore boobs, exhaustion, smell aversions...nice! Thanks for checking in. It makes me feel good that someone is thinking about me. :-)

Diane

Diane,

I am sorry you have the added worry........it is just not easy, is it?

Your doc is right though......it is common and not normal. Do what he says, and stay positive. Won't be long until you will see your little one's heartbeat for the first time.

You are in my thoughts.

Oh dear....I'm so sorry this hasn't been easy for you. I'll be praying that this clears up and you get to see the heartbeat soon and that all this worry just slips away!

Keep us posted.

Diane,

Just checking to see how things have been the past few days. Has your spotting lightened up? I had bleeding with my DD around 6 wks due to the placenta being positioned over the cervix in early pregnancy. Once the placenta moved up, all was well and I had an uneventful and successful pregnancy. Easier said than done...try not to worry!

Did you see the HB yet?!
