I'm joining you ladies... hello!
Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself... my name is Eva, I'm 25 years old, and we have severe MF issues (very low count, very poor morphology and motility). We've tried 1 fresh IVF cycle (BFN), and 1 FET (chemical pg). We're now switching gears to IUI with donor sperm. I just ordered my sperm today (how weird is that phone call??) and I'm currently on CD3 - hopefully my IUI will be mid-week next week. Anyway, this is going to be my first IUI cycle ever, and I'm pretty excited to be doing something other than IVF for a little while, even if it means not having DH's biological child. Anyway, I wish everyone here good luck and I look forward to getting to know you all.
Eva

Hi Eva~ I am DeNeil. We also have severe MF. We tried 3 iui's with dh's guys and nothing. Then 1 with DS and that too was a BFN. Then we went the IVF route. IVF #1 BFP but sadly ended in m/c at 8 1/2 weeks. We tried one FET that didn't work so here we are. We still have 11 totsicles but we also have 2 vials from the donor left so we are going to use those before going for another FET.
Our story's are alot alike just backwards from one another. Good luck with your iui next week. It is soooo much less stress that IVF. |

DeNeil - our stories are VERY similar. We still have 7 frozen embryos. I just needed to not to IVF for a while, but I didn't want to sit back and do nothing. Maybe someday we'll go back to IVF... like, maybe if we have a child from IUI, maybe the second time around we'll go back to IVF since at least by then I'll already have a child so I feel like maybe it'll be a little less pressure. So are you doing IUI again now? If so, when did you or will you do it?

Yes we are doing another diui. It should be the 1st week in March. My cycles are very regular so I have a good idea when it should be. Where are you cycling? We do iui here in Appleton. But for IVF we went to Grand Rapids MI. Much lower cost. I was also looking into Advanced Fertility in Gurnee. That is only a couple of hours from us.

Hi Eva, (pg/child mentioned)
Welcome to FT! My dh and I also did iui with donor sperm. Our scenario is severe MF, dh has zero sperm, and we went through all the biopsy testing and what not. Took a while to decide on using donor sperm but so glad we did. We were able to get pg on our first iui, natural cycle for me, and now have a beautiful daughter that is 6 mos. Hopefully later this year we'll ttc #2, we have 5 vials stored at the RE's office. If you have any questions let me know and I can share more about our experience. Good luck on this cycle!!! Gina |

DeNeil - I'm currently cycling at North Shore Fertility in Skokie, IL. It's definitely not cheap, but I like my RE... she's pretty aggressive with treatment, which I like a lot.
Gina - I LOVE hearing success stories. It's so great that your first IUI worked. I'm not expecting my first one to work, but I'm hoping one of the first 3 will work. I only have time for at most 3 cycles until I move to MN and have to switch doctors. I'd just love to get pg before I move. Eva |

Hi Eva! I'm Dina! Good luck with your IUI...I hope this time you will get your BFP!!!! I just finished my first DE cycle...BFN! Actually it was positive, but my beta was low, so I guess it was a chemical pregnancy. We have 9 frozen embryos, so we will be doing FET hopefully in March!
Good luck to you too DeNeil!!!! |

Thanks everyone!
Dina - I just had a chemical pg too (from a FET). We still have some embryos left, but I just can't handle another IVF cycle right now, even if it is a FET. Dana - I hope so too! I see you're in the dreaded 2ww... I hope you're hanging in there and good luck! Eva |
