Tested Negative

I tested this morning with an old expired HPT and it was negative. I'm sure the test still worked because the first line did come up. I am so upset and devastated...I just can't believe this is happening again! I don't know how much more of this I can take...I don't even know how to begin my day.

Okay hon... you put stock into an expired HPT? When is your beta? Keep your eyes on that and stay away from those evil sticks; it's not over yet.

CS...The first line did come up, so I'm assuming it still works. My beta is Monday. Called my nurse and she told me to wait for my blood test on Monday, that it was still too early. I tested at 6dp5dt...don't think that was too early. I'm just so used to these negatives, I KNOW it is real.

Emily...I'm going to speak with RE's office about the test you had mentioned.

An expired HPT can't be near as sensitive at detecting HCG as one that has not expired. There is a reason why they put expiration dates on those things. I would either a) go out and get an unexpired HPT test and see what the result is or b) wait until Monday for your beta. Don't give up hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
