I went back and forth whether to give a gift or not. There was another board here discussing that. I had not wanted to make it too personal by giving a gift. But I did give a little something. I wrote a "thank you" note and gave her a really pretty wooden angel "Angel of Hope" it said. And a very pretty candle. Just a small token...they do get a big amount of money at the end of it. I'm actually glad I did. What do you think?

From a donor point of view the money isnt why I do it. I would hate to think that IPs only thought of me as an egg making person but rather of me giving them a gift from my heart!
My IPs have given me different things and each has meant the world to me! 1st EDIPs gave me beautiful flowers! 2nd EDIPs gave me a candle, small angel windchime, and an angel magnet 3rd EDIPs gave me a Handmade Christmas Tree she bought from her church since that retrieval was on Christmas Eve 4th EDIPs gave me a Daffodil plant flower since that is a flower of Fertilty and it is yellow! To me I felt really truly appreciated for what I was doing..yes I received compensation for my pain and suffering but for me it was about mentally knowing I was helping someone and that they appreciated that about me that meant more then anything!! I always gave my IPs a little something too!! I have NEVER heard of an egg donor not charishing everything their IPs gave them including a letter of Thank you touches us more then you will ever know!

I have given different things.
A necklace with baby booties on it with a letter explaining the booties are to remind them never to give up their dream! A 3 set photo album A heart with a baby inside of it *necklace* "You grew in my heart" is the name fo the necklace. Because without her love that baby wouldn't be here! http://www.heartbeatdesigns.com/ A faberge egg of hope I always tried to give them something for them to know how special their dream was to me! and that I hope that I was truly helping them! and that the gift would let them know I cared about their dream!
