Is there anybody using (or heard of) low dose aspirin regimen to improve uterus lining thickness?

I've heard of it and I'm using it right now. I don't think it worked on me though. Before I used baby asprin, my lining was 7mm. After I used it, my lining was still at 7mm. The doctor says it cannot hurt. So, I'm taking them daily.

Hope it helps!

Susan, Anna.. Thank you so much for your reply.
I thought I read about the baby aspirin and the lining relation somewhere in internet, so I have asked my doctor about it. She said it wouldn't effect my lining thickness but she also said it wouldn't hurt and said I can start using if I want to try.

When I asked her if I can take it after IUI as well or if I need to stop the day of IUI. She says to stop when I have my IUI.

I am wondering what your RE told you. So is it safe to use even after IUI or shall just stop the day or the day before IUI?

One baby aspirin (81mg tablets aka low dose aspirin) per day is prescribed by some RE to increase blood flow to the uterus which is suppose to help with the lining.

It is safe to use; those of us with immune issues take it every day no matter what and it is even prescribed through the pregnancy to help with clotting issues that can interfere with oxygen delivery to the fetus.

Thank you for the input ladies!

I think I will continue with the baby aspirin through the whole cycle then. Thanks for helping me understand.

I am so frustrated with my obgyn. It seems like I am deciding for the course of my treatment instead of her. I am insisting on all the things, I learn from this board and that's how I got to her to do u/s for follicle scan, HCG trigger shot, HSG test and now this aspirin regimen...

If I leave it up to her, I would only take clomid on the prescribed days and watch LH surge with OPK and go in for the IUI. That's it. No monitoring, no nothing else... Grrrr...

Horizon,

Have you thought of seeing an RE instead? They are specialized in reproduction; they are not only baby catchers.

CS, I would LOVE to see an RE but my problem is with my insurance company.

My insurance is through Kaiser Permanente and according to their policy, I have to have 3 IUI's done with OBGYN. If all are BFN, then they give me the referral to the RE office. 4th, 5th and 6th IUI's with RE are then paid at 50% by my insurance. (Meds out of pocket). I don't have any coverage for IVF's.

So financially speaking, I have no other choice then to follow their procedures to get at least some help with the cost.

If I could effort to pay it all our of pocket, believe me I would definetely skip waisting time with the OB and just go to the RE.

I am stuck....

Well, that bites but you are getting an RE in training certificate here! Just keep reading and taking info to your ob and you will get WAY better management and monitoring than you would have otherwise. Way to take charge, woman!!
