writing to recommend the donor sibling network!
I am a former FTer with a 7 yr old from donor sperm and a 3 yr old from a donor embryo and I am writing to recommend the donor sibling network (you can google it); Probably a lot of people here already know about it - you can possibly make contact with others who used the same donor and your children can meet their half-siblings. We just spent the weekend with my 7 yr old's half siblings and it was great! They have a child of the same gender who is less than a year older and the two kids hit it off instantly. I feel like I've provided another two siblings for my kid without having to do anything. All the adults got along great - we totally understand what we've all been through. Now these kids email and call each other and we're planning on getting them together at least a couple times a year (it helps that we live in the same state); It was also very interesting to see all the similarities - anything from facial expressions to patterns of speech to taste in food and clothes. It also helps these kids b/c it can be difficult being from a donor and they now have someone who totally understands and can relate to them. Anyway, for those of you with donor offspring, I just can't recommend it highly enough! Thanks,
Sarah

I tried Googling it but couldn't find anything. Could you provide the website(s) where I would begin? Thanks! |

I recommend FertilityNeeds
I had a really great experience as an egg donor with FertilityNeeds.com. The women who work there are really kind and attentive. They truely have both the aspiring parent and egg donors' best interest in mind. Has anyone had similar experiences as an egg donor or AP with other agencies? I live in the New England area and am curious about other agencies around.
Thanks! |
