Anyone Home?

Wow, this place has been rather quiet in the past view days. How is everyone doing?

I will be myself gone on business for a while so I figured I'd check in before I disappear off the face of the bb

Me first I guess I don't know if this happened to many of you after your ED was picked, but for me it was a "gorilla" off my back, monkeys don't exactly cut it I am at last relaxed.

Based on the feedback I am getting from the agency, our ED will see the RE mid-September to start testing. Woohoo!

Who's next?

After what seemed like a long summer.... we picked our donor in April.... we just had the transfer on Monday 8/28. We retrieved 21 eggs, 15 fertilized, 12 were grade 1 so they took us to 5 day blasts. Monday was smooth. The embryologist showed us pictures of the two embroyos they put in, they had already frozen four, with the potential to freeze more. I am on my third day of laying low.... and trying not to jump to far ahead of myself. I will find out in one week if I am pregnant and if I am, two days later I will find out with how many. Overall, my experience has been great, no big problems with any of the drugs, only three minor cliches, I had a cyst in the beginning which delayed the starting week of lupron.my lining was thin , and had a cyst the last check up with caused me to up the lupron right before the retrival. But, really everything has been easy. I am grateful for this site so that I could get information any time of day or night..... I did everything... went to acupuncture 5 times total and the day of the transfer both before and after, and ate a whole pineapple when I got home. I feel like we have done everything to increase the chances and make this work, so there is nothing more to do but wait. As Tom Petty says " the waiting is the hardest part".....

Keeping my fingers crossed........

cs- have a safe trip! I know what a relieving feeling it is to finally have chosen your donor! Now the waiting game begins!

Crystal- hopefully AF will show up soon & then you'll be on your way to doing your FET! That's exciting! Remember, FET's work for a lot of people!!

yaoming- I think you misunderstood something. When you have your beta & find out if you're pregnant, you'll go back 2 days later for a repeat beta to make sure that your numbers are doubling like they should. There is no way possible that they'd be able to tell you how many are in there only 2 days after your first beta. You'll have to wait for 1-2 weeks to have an u/s to see how many are in there!! The good news is that you're now 3dp5dt & you will know next week how things went!! Let us know when your beta is going to be so that we can remember you on that day!!!

Thanks everyone for your good wishes, and yes I did misunderstand. My beta is on September 6. Thanks for clarifying that BC-donor.

cs- enjoy your trip and congradulations on picking a donor... that is the most difficult part.

crystal- I hope your cycle starts soon.

For me the hardest part will be the rotten needles. I read about EMLA cream... I'll order a bucket of that LOL

Just waiting and getting impatient with it.

Counting on my fingers and toes, my donor should have her second shot at a baseline AT THE RE'S this time some time next week. Hopefully will get a definitive go/no go onto the next step this time.

It's sort of weird not being able to pick and choose when we'll cycle. To wait on someone else.

Even though DH need and deserve this down time, the fact I can't control it is terribly annoying.

hope all is well with you, CS.

Emily

Everything is well, thanks

I am still waiting for the first round of tests to take place and trying not to think about it. I am trying to focus on other things that need to be done.

I hope yours is a go.

Panic Attack!

Okay panic attack settling in. I was told that my ED was scheduled for an appointment yesterday and didn't show up. I'm still trying to figure out what happened. Just when I was starting to trust her; I hope nothing went wrong.

Not again, not again, not again...
