Cramping and Spotting preg ment

I have been having cramping and spotting off and on for the past two weeks. I keep getting reasurrance about the brown spotting but what about the cramping? Any success stories? I'm going completely crazy. They still won't move up my ultrasound. I have to wait until Tuesday. Thanks,

oscer,
It's scary when you spot, but I assure you that both cramping & spotting is normal. Although it doesn't happen to everyone, it can happen. Cramping happens as a result of your uterus growing & expanding due to your pregnancy. Although your baby is still smaller than a piece of rice, it is growing & so must your uterus. Spotting can be a result of your uterus growing, or it can be from your pregnancy. My sister in law spotted through the first trimester with her 1st baby & with her 2nd baby, she had bleeding episodes off & on throughout her entire pregnancy!! She'd lost 2 previous pregnancies, so the bleeding really scared her, but both of those pregnancies went off without a hitch!

Hang in there!! Your u/s is tomorrow, right? Be sure to let us know how everything goes! And make sure you get a due date so I can add you to our Pregnant section of the chart!!

I had a ton of cramping during the first trimester. More so at the beginning. I was told it's the embryo burrowing it's way into your uterus lining. I have a beautiful dd now, so try not to worry! I also had a ton of red blood at 7 weeks, thought I had m/c but it was just a subchrionic hematoma (spelling?).
