beta results (pg ment)

Hi everyone,
I posted here a couple of years ago on the iui board and have been lurking here lately. I'm 42 DH 39 and we've been ttc for 6 yrs. To keep this short, I wont go into our long story now. But We just finished our 4th ivf, the second with donor eggs. we transfered 3 embies at 3 days past retrieval and by beta is 33 at 13dpt. The nurse said everything looked good but I thouht the numbers looked a little low. We are overjoyed! But I guess I need a little reassurance before I get too excited. All the numbers I've read on this board are way over mine. Am I being too cautious? I would appreciate anyones advice.
Thanks
CrystalC

I don't have any information as per your numbers, but best wishes with the pg.

Your beta is a bit on the low side (mine was 498 at the same time (16dpIUI)) but I have seen lower betas turn into babies! Your next one will be a lot more telling.

Thanks for the responses. I go tomorrow for 2nd beta. I'll just do a lot of praying until then.

I was looking at some other postings earlier about low betas. Some of them had lower betas then yours. As long as the # is doubling- enjoy.

Hi Crystal,

I too have heard of women with low betas going on to have healthy babies. Good luck tomorrow, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Update when you can.

Julie

Crystal,

What really matters is that your numbers double! Mine was pretty low too...in the 60's and I was really scared but my betas more than doubled each time and I had my dd this year. Just fyi...unfortunately even a high beta is not a sure thing.

Good luck!
