Lining
The ideal lining for a transfer would be over 8mm and triple pattern, or trilaminar. It's something they can detect on ultrasound, but that is the pattern that is optimal for the embryo to implant.

It's also called a triple stripe because they can see 3 specific lines on your lining- the top, the middle & bottom layers of lining.
Some RE's look for it, others don't & some look but just don't say that it's there unless you ask! Karen

Triple layer lining is the best for pregnancy. Then there is mixed which may have patches of 3 layer amongst 2 layer and that's ok for pregnancy but not as likely. Then there is mono...something layer which means pregnancy is unlikely.

Next Monday I'll go for and U/S and will ask for the triple layer lining or triple stripe. Hi 50/50,
You are very much my "budy support", thanks to be chating with me and have a shoulder and an ear for me at any moment . Well looks like the things are moving, and the embryo transfer may happen the next weekend that is coming, there is not a specific date, I've been told One of my 1000 concerns is that I still suppress with antagon and my estradiol levels are now 70, I know is bad for implantation to have a high estradiol, but also is bad to have very low estradiol, just by chance do you know how much should be the optimum level of estradiol at the moment of the embryo transfer? Hi LM~
No problem, anytime! There is never a specific date given for transfer because you never know how the donor will stim and when she will be ready for retreival. They can only approximate timing. A few days before transfer my estradiol was 564, my lining was triple pattern at 9.1, they didn't check me again since my level was where they wanted it to be. But 5 days prior to that it was only at 82 so I'm sure they are going to up your estradiol. My patches were slowly increased before retreival. Good luck! 50/50 |

50/50,
Until Monday we will find out as you said when will be the specific date for our embryo transfer as you said, all depend of how donor is doing. Thanks for your answer regarding the number of E2, it is so hopeful for me, olso on Monday I'll have my u/s and b/w so that day will be very important. Today I receive the news that RE will not do blasts with me because he is going for vacations, and in this clinic there is no body else but him doing the embryos transfer, therefore we will have a 3 day embryo transfer , this is so devastating to me because I had 2 previous IVF's 3 day transfer and all were negative, so I had built already a huge hope that maybe having blasts, this time this was going to work.Adittionally, I read that the % of success doing blasts are higher that 3 day embryo, I am still is shock. I understand that RE has to leave for vacations, he also has the right to have a life but this is so important for me, I think that if RE had told me that my cycle was going to be in the middle of his vacations, I would have wait another month.

LM~ Don't fret about the 3 day transfer. I had a 3 day transfer and actually would have requested it had my RE wanted to do blast. You will have more embryos left over to freeze doing it this way. Do you know how many he normally transfers? Blasts have a higher rate of multiples. When you had the other 3 day transfers were they egg donor transfers or were they your own eggs? Sorry I don't remember.
You have to also think about what is meant to be. Well at least I try to think of it that way. Either way if you had a blast or 3 day transfer whatever happens will happen for a reason. Your little one will find his/her way to you some way. So try to stay positive! |
