Freaking out a little...

After watching the 60 mins show last night i logged online to donorsiblingsregistry.com and found that there were five 1/2 siblings to my darling daughter that were on it. I already knew that the ds we used had pgs but seeing it on the registry made it so real.

I will be signing up later when I have myself together. Did anyone else check to see if your donor was registered?

Is it just for donor sperm? Or for donor eggs?

I can understand your shock, but at least you have the information now, when there are no 'issues' with having it. It gives you time to determine what, if any, relationships you'd like to encourage/support with siblings as well as at least giving you a heads up that there certainly are siblings out there. I'm assuming that the donor might even have more offspring out there than are registered....

Sorry I missed the show...completely forgot it was on!

Thanks Diana.

Flicka- they were both anonymous donors. Its the sibs or in my case their parents registering on the site.

My dh was totally freaking out too (about the show). I was a little less upset. I can completely understand how you feel.

I checked it out..none listed for my donor...eventhough I know he has other known pg. Dont know what I would do.....
The internet makes all of this possible..and makes it all seem anonymous.....but still not sure what I would do!

Sorry, if I'm being dense, but how do you know which sibs are your child's if your donor was anonymous??

Each donor is idenitfied by bank or agency and each donor was given an id#. So each sibling identifies their donor by id#.
