Question about anonymous DE from DH

My DH is really concerned that on the day of egg harvest, we would accidentally run into our donor. I know he has to provide a sample on that day - is it done in the office or does he just drop it off?

Has anyone had the eggs harvested at their clinic? How did the clinic time it so that you don't see each other?

They take every precaution to avoid having the donor & the recipients there at the same time. They will also sometimes have the donor sign in under a different name so that you don't see someone with the same initials as your donor leaving you to think that it's her. Generally they'll have your DH do his part while the donor is already well under way in the back. We've never run into any of our donors during any of our cycles. I know that a while ago, someone here at FT thought that they saw their donor in the elevator, but I don't believe there was any proof.

Like I said, they take extra measures to make sure that you won't be meeting each other. Just as much as you don't want to know her identity, most anonymous donors don't want to be known to the recipients either.

Yes I agree with BC-donor they take every precaution to avoid that happening. I never ran into my donor even though I would have loved to have seen her in person. There is someone on this board that accidently ran into her donor at her RE's office...her donor didn't know though. I think that's very rare.
